Action Fabricators & Erectors Dishonest, Not Customer Friendly, Hyattsville Maryland

My elderly mother contacted Action Fabricators & Erectors to install a fence around her shed. When they came out to give her an estimate, she told them she wanted the same fence that her next door neighbor had--it was a green fence (her neighbor had silver poles) but she also told them that she wanted green poles. When she received the estimate, it was for the wrong color fence and poles and after she called them, they agreed to get the correct color. However, they arrived two days later and installed a green fence with silver poles. Daniel Pena (salesman) admitted to making the mistake and said that she would need to pay an additional $300 to get the poles corrected. I called the owner, Marty Pena and found him to be absolutely rude and obnoxious. Even more suprising was when Linda, the receptionist answered the phone, she said "we were expecting the call". Marty Pena, the owner, came on the phone and did not listen to my concern--he merely told me that they were doing us a favor and that if she wanted it corrected, it would cost her more money.

In additiion, Daniel called my mother the day before installation to verify that everything was green (fence and poles). After receiving the money for the wrong fence, they threatened to go back and take it down. Daniel also came to my mother's house two days later to again admit that he made a mistake in ordering.

My mother agreed to keep the fence as it is currently installed, but wants to let everyone know that she would not recommend them to others. So, I'm doing the public a favor and suggesting that you not make any purchases from Action Fabricators & Erectors, especially if you want what you ordered and customer service is important to you!
