False Home Scan Radon Readings!!!!

Home owners BEWARE of Homescan Raymond Starkey Radon report inspections!! We were selling a property and the buyer contacted them to do a Radon inspection.  The Radon inspection was provided to them with inaccurate readings showing a (P) as a power failure or surge as indicated in their flagging legend below every hour on the hour!!!! They STILL told the sellers the property had a high radon level! They knew that these readings were incorrect due to faulty equipment problems and that there was no way they could have that many power failures during that time.

Its a scam and they are getting the buyers to believe it as well as make the sellers lose contracts! This place is going to be reported to the BBB!!! DO NOT USE!!!!!!!

Radon Testing

AUTHOR: Home Scan - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 05, 2012

Well it is unfortunate that the home I am accussed of falsely testing for Radon had no power source in the basement. Thus I was only able to perform our test with the battery. It does take away one of the many safety features it device has, but the Radalink Aircat I use also detects the radon level, barometric pressure, temperature, power source, and has a tilt sensor if moved, so I feel confident that the seller, whom is not licensed to test for Radon in my state I should add, This seller did nothing to jeoperdize the results of the test. The seller who added these false remarks also was informed of the closed house conditions that must be kept prior to my test, and they never informed us that they were unable to keep the closed house conditions. The data does not lie, and I do not do radon mitigations. I do not sell anything, and this seller has never informed me that they did not keep closed house conditons, but only that I performed the test on battery. What a real peice of work the person is. I guess they know more than their doctor when there also. I did refer them to call Radalink, whom I lease my monitors from, and did not hear back from this very intelligent person then. It is unfortunate that some people can never learn anything. Just a know it all. I am sure that someday I will again have to do a Radon test on battery back up and the data will tell if it was a good test not me or anyone else unless it is tampered with. I wish you website would give business people and your members an oppurtunity to see all the other posts a person like this has made. It may help everyone see the truth quicker, and not waste my time by responding to such false hoods. I cannot beleive you could allow this blog of theirs to be posted.
