This home warranty company has not honored its obligation to warranty anything. We have submitted 2 claims; one involving our swimming pool and then here most recently our built in microwave. Before calling HWA both times. My husband and I both read over the "diamond" contract to make sure it was not a waste of our time and theirs. My husband reads contracts for a living, so the verbage is completely understandable to him.

Both times we submitted a claim they told us that it was not in the contract for that specific problem. Yes I am completely sure it was. In fact I am so very sure that I am going to get someone to persue this issue professionally. I would like my money back for this contract. What a waste of time talking to them or purchasing their warranty.

The microwave situation most recently is what has me concerned that they are not a legitimate company. They are not honoring the contract.

Our microwave is not heating at this time and unfortunatly to my dismay was working the day the repairman "that they sent" came to check on it. But as everyone knows thats how it goes sometimes. He thought he knew what to order because that specific part will go in and out before it completely stops heating. However the control panel is also broken and he was defiantly going to repair that. He was going to order the parts and get back to me when they came in. GREAT! The next day HWA called me to let me know they were denying the claim the tech. Keith who was out to my house said my Sharp microwave was working fine. That was funny because it was a Whirlpool microwave and the tech at my house the day before was Mark. WHO IS KEITH? That really stumped them. I was put on hold for a few moments and then they came back to tell me nope, not covered. This to me was more blunt and almost rehearsed. I then just received a blanket "no" on any broken parts it had to be mechanical and they believed it was working. Sorry no claim today.

This is really the worst of all. I called the Hometech Masters company that HWA called to fix the microwave. I wanted them to go ahead and do the work on my microwave and just fix it. They told me they could not be contracted by me they only did "warranty work". I might be wrong but was it only for HWA? That sent alarms off. Is the $65 dollars just another scam in this?

I was not only out the time I wasted home that day but I had to pay a $65 dolllar fee for the tech Mark aka Keith to come out. The swimming pool story is much worse and very upseting.

Please do not purchase this product. They were and are dishonest.

reading your story and wanting to see if i could do anything to help i looked in the database under your name and there is not one contract anywhere in the entire us with your last name so if you wont even give that much true information how can we trust the rest of your story? if you do have a contract and are that unhappy why doont you cancel the contract or call and see if there is anything that can be done to help?
