This has been an absolute nightmare. In June 2004, my husband's overttime at GM got cut. We fell 2 payments behind. Since our monthly note was almost 2000 dollars, I contacted Homecomings in August and requested some assistance. That we did not want to fall 3 payments behind. The man That I spoke with assured me that we were ok. He said we donot have any type of programs for you until we get 6 months behind. That's crazy!! I knew then that something was not right. Why would a mortgage company want you to get 12,000 behind before they try to assist you?

And by the way, this loan was sold to Homecomings without us knowing that it would be.

Needless to say, I was afraid to wait 6 months because of foreclosure chances and I just did not like the vibes I was getting from Homecomings. So, we filed Chapter 13. About a year later or bankruptcy was dismissed and Homecomings immediately foreclosed on the home.

It was hard to contact anyone. Homecomings basically did not want us to keep the house. The work out packet that they sent was sent with a dismissal attitude. WE thought we had the house sold but the potential buyer backed out when he found out we had not paid our 2005 taxes.

Our home was sold on March 15, 2006. It was my dream home. Our credit is ruined and I hate what Homecomings has done to our family. I will not give up! I want everything back that took away from us! I need an attorney to take our case! I know that we will win. Because the chap 13 was dismissed, I lost my vehicle.

Who do they think they are? Please help me somebody! Also we found another home which is a lease/purchase. Who will give us a loan? I will not accept what you have done to us Homecomings. No thanks! And you will reap what you sow. Very soon you will lose it all!

Please contact me anyone with atty info.

#7 Consumer Suggestion

could it be that the writer of the original complaint against homecomings is beyond exasperated by attempts to resolve with homecomings and perhaps..

AUTHOR: Valerie - (U.S.A.)

i understand without having to know the details to a tee how and why this consumer is in the emotional state she is in today and that her letter may be hard to follow, HOWEVER....anyone who has had the horrific misfortune of dealing with homecomings KNOWS they are not a reputable mortgage servicing company but rather a predatory lender whose "big-guys" set up their so called mortgage servicing to NOT service their customers but rather service THEIR greed-driven unmoralistic, unethical and disgustingly corrupt minds to their illegal gains!

also, i have been reading updates to the complaints consumers have been posting regarding homecomings for the past six months...they have if not everyday atleast every other day another complaint and cry for help and the actual number of complaints have gone up and up but the ACTUAL NUMBERS change....hmmm...i've seen them at 222 and yet today it says 199 complaints! how is this?

also, homecomings is listed several different ways and i urge people to make sure they forward their complaint with that info in order that all complaints are in the same catagory. ie:homecomings financial a gmac company and homecomings financial network, inc. and homecomings, and homecomings financial, etc...this way their actual complaints will be accounted for accurately and not grouped into another business title.

lastly, homecomings has a past tainted with lawsuits and litigation in which they have been forced to pay back monies and fix credit while i am sure it is just a drop in the bucket for them they surely cant fix the devastation they have unnessarily caused innocent people and the emotional upsets we and our families have had to endure because they are still in business. thats what needs to put an end to...SHUT THEM DOWN ONCE AND FOR ALL AND MAKE SATIFACTORY FINANCIAL RESTITUTION TO ALL THOSE WHO SUFFERED FROM THEIR PREDATORY LENDING. these CONSUMER COMMENTS...i dont believe them for one minute...looks like ROSEMARY has found herself some aliases!!

homecomings knows they are under the scope and they are using this site as yet another entity to POSE as consumers...BELIEVE IT!!AFTER ALL... in the name of mortgage lenders thats just what they are....POSERS!!!!

I'm confused too

AUTHOR: Jamie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 25, 2006

Homecomings doesn't finance cars so who took your car? The problem was your spouse lost a chunk of income and never got it back. If you can't make the payments, they foreclose on the house. That's not their fault.

Even if Homecomings had not, your county could have for the taxes if they felt like it.

Can't figure out what you are saying here

AUTHOR: Dave - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 25, 2006

I know that Homecomings is the pits, but from what you are saying, you didn't make your house payments, you didn't make your car payments and you didn't pay your taxes? So, why do you think you should get your house back, your car back and your credit back? If you were in bankuptcy, your credit was already ruined before they took your house.

Now, the reality of it is this... You 2 over-extended yourselves. You had a $2000 monthly house payment, and the only way you could make that payment was with your HUSBAND'S OVERTIME.

You can't rely on overtime, especially from a auto manufacturer, to pay your bills. Overtime is a bonus, a luxury, extra money... not something that you count on to pay your house payment! I really hate to say this, but this is your fault, not Homecomings.

I don't really understand what you are trying to accomplish.
