Homecomings Financial impaired payoff and closing of loan. Rude and condescending, trying to collect fees, will not close account. Waterloo Iowa

Our original loan was sold to this company. We refinanced our loan with them through our bank. After loan at Homecomings was paid off, they stated there was still a balance. Our bank attempted to contact them but was met by rudeness and no one would give them the correct information. We paid off the amount, which was around $250.00.

Once paid off, we requested loan be closed. We then sent another letter 3 months later. Never heard back until this year when we started getting statements with a $15 maintenance fee.

We called and were told the account couldn't be closed. After several transfers, I was told our property value depreciated and that somehow had something to do with the account remaining open. The person was rude and I knew what I was being told was not true. They refused to expound on what was said.

I since have written the third request to close account and refusal to pay the $15.00. It seems this company is in the business of ripping people off and doing very dishonest business. They need to be shut down and peoples money needs to be paid back.
