Homedepot Cheated Me atlanta Georgia

The first thing I want to do is warn future customers that I read the reviews concerning Homedepot doors and insulation and I did not believe it. But now...I do.  Their customer service is horrible, confortational and incredibly dishonest.  We ordered the french door in begining in August and these doors were special order from Dealers Warehouse Corp. We had measurements that did not fit the stock Masonite doors from Homedepot so this was a special order. I paid $1667 dollars for the doors. The Masonite french door was 300 to 400 dollars cheaper and they were smaller than the door space which I was warned may lead to weaker door frame, leaking air and greater chance of bug entry. 

While waiting for the door delivery we had recieved a call from homedepot to pay more for the door since they broke the door and I reminded them that I signed a contract and it was not my responsilbity if the broke the door. Then 2 weeks later when I went back to homedepot to check on the order they told me they dont know the status of order. Then the following week they told me that my order has been canceled...They admitted that there was a mistake...We spoke to the store Manager Mrs. Hezbringer, she replied the door order will come in soon. Each time they would promise the doors will come in at a certain date it would change to another date causing continued water damage to house.

We were treated rudely and without any care considering the constant rain and the pressures we were recieving from our home insurance company to have the issue resolved. Then they wanted us to deal with another Manager Rodney..He was consistantly misleading us and treated us rudely. I have already spent over 7,000 dollars with homedepot and I was expecting better service.  Each time we pointed out a problem or issue he would either change the facts or completely lie to make the situation our fault. During this period we wanted to seek an out from dealing with homedepot but the time it would take the order to be made by another company would put us in a situation that would lead to greater costs. So we stayed with homedepot thinking this situation will only get better. 

Prior to door delivery Rodney was telling us he was waiting on the door inserts...We had no idea what that meant. They delivered the doors but the french door did not have the same cover as the Masonite door...I approached the installers and I informed them that the french doors are special order. That the french door is a non-Masonite door. They removed the bad french door from our house and when they brought the french door i noticed Masonite labeling on the doors which I informed the installer and I showed them the contract. Agreed with me that the door was over-billed.  

In addition the door was alot smaller than the door space. They had to use small wood wedges for balancing the door. IN addition they had to cut the holes bigger for the locks to fit. I was in a situation where they removed the previous french doors and there was no way putting them back...I have a pregnant wife in area where their has been bugarlaries so I can not leave a huge opening in the house. So I was forced in a situation...The installers were very nice and helpful. 

NOW I am left in a situation where the installers want to charge an additional fee for the install and I am left dealing with a dishonest person who will more than likely lie to me about the Masonite door price and telll me that all of the problems were caused by me and my wife...If I had to do it all over again I would not deal with Homedepot for doors...Please get quotes from Champion and Sears...Also stay away from the door frames made of fiberglass....
