I could not believe all the reports on this company. I was reading through several of the complaints, and I was shaking my head as I was reading so many stories that related to our own. How have these people been able to rip so many people off and get by with it? We have the same problem as many do with HomeEq not accepting our payment. I lost my job and we were 2 months behind on our mortgage payments. My husband called them, and we payed one month by phone on the 15th of June and made arrangements for another payment on the 29th of June. That would have caught up our payments.

About 1 week later they called us again and said that our first payment did not go through, because the check number was duplicated!?! I had the check in my hand because I had made it out to mail it and my husband said he would pay it by phone to make sure they got it in time. I checked my bank statement and that check number was skipped!!!?? At that time they said our second check was OK. It had cleared so they put that one towards our May payment. Yes it gets more confusing. They call back a few days later, and as all of you that deal with these morons know, these are not polite people you have to deal with, they tell us that the second check did not go through!!!??? HUH!!! So I send them a Cashier's check, which they took ten days to cash and in the meantime we are still getting nasty, mean phone calls. Having learned a little something, I wrote on the cashiers check the number of the check that it was replacing. I believe that's why they took so long to cash it. I also put a stop on the other 2 checks at my bank. (I got them to waive the fees). I believe they were going to cash all the checks to steal our money.

We have asked time and time again to speak to a Supervisor. We keep hearing the same things over and over. One will call you at 6 pm CST.
Never happens. One day a Supervisor called my husband at work and left a name and Number for him to call. Her name was Carmoneta. He gave me her number and extension and I called her on Aug. 3 at 9:40 am. I got her answering machine. I left her a message telling her who I was and that I would talk to her because my husband was at work and I would be home all day. I left my phone number on her machine. Her message said that she would be in until 1:30 pm Pacific Time. (3:30 CST). Never got that call. It seems to me if they want to clear this up they would be anxious to get back to us huh?

We are now filing bankruptcy, and our payments will be handled through our trustee for the next 5 years. That is a relief, because we will not have to deal with these rude morons for a while. But I am worried that when we come out of this it will be starting all over again.

All of us that are dealing with the illegal acts need to get these people out of there. Most of us have lousy credit now thanks to these idots and it is impossible to get another finance company.

We are planning to file with the FTC and our States Attorney's Office. We all need to work together to bring these people down because that's the only way most of us are going to get out of this. They have ruined so many peoples credit. Please if anyone can help us, contact us and help us to destroy this company and their illegal practices.

We all need to fight together. There's strength in numbers.

We have checked with our homeowners insurince agent as to make sure our insurance is caugt up and told her to let us know if anything funny is going on with our insurance. She stated it was caught up for the year. We also called on our taxes and the first half has been paid. We have to call back in about a week to make sure the second half has been paid.

I would sugges all of you dealing with these thieves at HomEq to do the same. We are going to contact John Shimkus, our representative in congress in the 19th district. I would also suggest the same from each of you to contact your representitive.

Linda from Troy, Illinois please contact Shimkus as you are in our district. There are many of us here complaining about HomEq and these are only the ones reporting it. We all need to encourage others that are going through the same thing with these evil morons to keep reporting and keep fighting. Every one on this site needs to report this to the BBB. Let's keep up the fight.

Since I last made my report, we have only heard from HomEq 1 time.

They called my husband at work and he asked to speak with a supervisor. (once again unsuccessfully) The employee, who called himself Tyrone, asked what he wanted to talk to the supervisor about. My husband said about straighting up our account. He was told he had to be more specific. My husband told Tyrone to have a supervisor call us. He told my husband very rudely, to call back when he wanted to talk. We have not heard from them since, and any day I'm expecting to get a letter that they have foreclosed on us our sold our property. From reading other reports, I am guessing that this would be their next step.
