I was wondering if anyone has gotten a letter about Barclays Bank they bought Homeq Servicing? I was also wondering if anyone has contacted Barclays or has any information about there servicing. I wasnt told to send my payments to Barclays But then I was told to send my payments to Homeq.

I have had nothing but problems with Homeq. I am almost every month fighting with them regarding my escrow account it is never right. I call and get different answers , I also keep getting there stupid Hazardous insurance put on my account which I have had insurance with the same company for 3 years now but I keep faxing the proof of insurance every other month. I hope that this is a blessing for Homeq to get bought out. I was also wondering if anyone has gotten a letter called validation of Debt letter and what does this mean.

The good news is that I have finally gotten a written letter stating exactly what I owe these people.. I have been fighting with them for about 8 months now about my loan. I have been trying to get a repayment plan going more than willing to work with them but I never got the same amount I owe. One time I called and was told that there was no record of me calling. I am afraid they are going to try and forclosure on my house because I can't work out anything with them. What should I do ? They said that I agreed over the phone to pay one amount and that I can't go back on the amount I said I would pay? Does anyone have a number that I can called to talk to someone about this new company or to contact this new company to see what is going on

Thank You

About the letter.

AUTHOR: Carrie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, November 25, 2006

The letter that you received is a validation of debt letter. This is a legal document that was sent due to the purchase of Homeq by Barclays. This is a letter that every customer received and the only personal information provided is the total amount due that is listed.

While I would suggest that you hold on to the letter for bookkeeping, it can be disregarded from a payment standpoint.

HomeQ doesn't do loans

AUTHOR: Jerry - (U.S.A.)

Melissa, HomeQ is only a servicing agency. They take your money and keep the ''books'' for your loan company. The service various mortgage companies. Barclays Bank of London bought HomeQ from Wachovia Bank, and our loan is still with Wachovia, not with Barclays. Icurrently have a lawsuit aginst both HomeQ and Wachovia because of bad bookkeeping and phantom charges. They also did not honor the letter of our contract by adding on extra charges. Thru discovery, it was found that there are 2 sets of books that do not add up to the same figures,, hummmm,.. anyway, don't worry about Barclays, just contact the mortgage co. that wons your loan and go from there
