You created a mortgage loan, you stayed in a home that was not livable, why wouldn't the mortgage company want their payments owed-if it was good enough for you to keep your helpless children in why wasn't it worth paying for?

I work one full time job and a part time job every penny I get from my second job is saved for emergencies, you can bet your butt if I lost either job I would find another even if I had to shovel crap to keep my home!

I have yet to blame my mortgage company for wanting their payment it's my BILL to pay and I am enjoying all the benefits of the loan given.

You stated you have moved on and are happy, yet you continue to post YEARS later?

Move on!

HOMEQ MADE A MESS OUT OF THIS NATURAL DISASTER. THERE WAS NO INS. PAYOUT AS THEY CLAIMED DAMAGES WERE DUE TO GROUND WATER. THEY THEN DROPPED US LIKE A HOT POTATO WHEN IT CAME TIME TO RENEW OUR INS. POLICY. HOMEQ PUT FORCED INS. COVERAGE ON US AT 5 TIMES WHAT WE HAD BEEN PAYING, RAISED OUR MORTGAGE TO MAKE SURE WE COULD NOT MAKE THE PAYMENTS, THIS AFTER THEY HAD SAT DOWN WITH US AND WENT THROUGH WHAT WE PAY EACH MONTH ON WHAT. SO THEY KNEW DARN WELL WHAT THEY WERE DOING AT THE TIME. WE GAVE THEM EVERY DIME WE HAS UP TO THE POINT OF THE SHORT SALE THEY HAD US DOING (YES THEY HAD US DO IT) KEEPING UP WITH THEM, FEMA, AND THE LOCAL BUILDING INSPECTOR I HAD MY HANDS FULL. PLEASE DONT COMMENT ON MY CASE UNLESS YOU HAVE READ ALL OF MY POSTS AND LOOKED AT THE PICTURES AS YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY PUT US THROUGH.

you should read my full report before making comments! the INS. company did not cover it as they said damage was due to ground water. This was Ivan the hurricane who dumped the water not normal rain fall or run off. We did not at the time live in a flood zone. HomeQ checked our credit reports every month over 2 yrs. not helping the matter. So not only did we loose our home, Our credit went in the toilet thanks to them.

INS.company said it was ground water damage and they are not responsible

AUTHOR: Judi - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, September 26, 2008

I had been through the whole thing inside and out. INS. company not responsible due to the damage caused by ground water... This was due to a hurricane and we did NOT live in a flood zone! the state gave us just over 600.00 and it was used to try to shore up the house until repairs could be made. Fema caps at 5,000 per house hold, our damage was way over that yet that money was also used to try to save the house. (if you had read my original post on this you would know all this) At the same time this was going on HomeQ was hounding us to no end for payments we just didn't have. They sent there own apraiser out who said this house was a total loss and that it had to come down there was no fixing it as it cost more to fix than it was worth at that point. (That didn't stop HomeQ from demanding tripple the mortgage with forced Ins on the house with some very expensive company we were not allowed to get in touch with) Yes we moved! But with the forced quick sale of our land, the move, and new expences on the place we were in our gas bill was out of this world as it was not cut off as requested, as was the elect. to the old property until it was demo'ed. HomeQ is responsible for not allowing us to keep our reg. payments on the house! the forced Ins. once our company droped us at time of renewal, forcing our payment out the roof while giving me hell on the phone every time I called them or they called me. They went so far as to tell me to get a divorce and go on welfare... what jerks for lack of better words! They got my husbands retirement, our life savings, and had us to the point we had to ask/beg for food to feed our children! So it is not like we didn't do every thing possible to pay them, but when they push payments out of reach like that WTF can you do? They knew what we paid for every other bill we had and they were not anything unrelated to the house. we did not go out to eat, we did not go to the movies, no new clothes, we did nothing out of the house bills and when they found out we could just make it as it was they pushed our payments out of reach!!! now how is that not there doing?

You need some serious help....and not from an attorney

Your mortgage company was not responsible for the damage to your home, why didn't your homeowners insurance cover the damage?

You stayed in the home that was dangerous first and foremost to your children and from reading your posts had to have damaged you!

One minute you are giddy in your new home the next you are wanting to sue the mortgage company, had your home been deemed fit for repair your homeowners insurance should have paid for it, or did you get the check and not make the repairs? If you did you should have packed your children up and left the house then not complain that your mortgage company didn't do anything for you after you did not make your payments!
