I suppose I should have followed the Golden Rule: If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

My boyfriend and I are full-time students and we came across the same advertisement for HomeStuffers in our Local newspaper. As anyone can attest, trying to find a decent job that conincides with the class and study schedule of a student is extremely difficult. So, we sent in the money they asked us to send for the start-up package, although we never spoke to anyone directly. We called the number they provided in the ad. It was only a long recorded message explaining the "comany philosophy", so to speak. It was a womans voice, and after reading the posted blogs on this website, I remembered her name was Cathy Rich.

Although we sent in the money only about a week ago, a friend of mine who is very wise suggested that I look online to see if I could find any information on this company. As anyone who is reading this can attest, my heart sank when I read the results...it was a scam, a ripoff.

As others who are victims of this scam, we saved our paperwork and our receipt for the money order. I am writing this in hopes that eventually, someone will see that there are many people who continue to become victims of this scam, and that some generous soul will be willing to help us track down and bring justice to those heartless individuals who are making thier living off of our misfortune and misplaced trust. I read many other individuals stories, and some of them date back to 2005!! It is now 2007, and these heathens are still getting away with it....won't somebody hear the pleas of al the victims...help us put an end to this!!
