Jim Estes with HomeVestors,Inc. tried to SCAM me out of my home today.  For his second visit to solicit me, he brought along his Wife - I had told his company when I first responded to his USMail solicitation that my house was NOT a fixer-upper.  I was totally honest with Jim Estes in every way.  Describing the home honestly and adequately when he made his first foray into the house.  The house has a new roof - only a couple of years old - The carport has been newly painted - only two years ago, the entire house was remodeled only about 9 years ago - The house received new plumbing pipes this year - the electrical wiring was re-wired for the central air-conditioning system. 

  I had a offer on this house only a few months ago for $77,000.00.   The Equity Line of Credit on this house is right at $60,000.00.    Estes and the WIFE team , after he had made the SCAM PROPOSAL of $33,000.00 for this house - siting some lame fixer-up items (a tree needed to come down in the yard) the oil buring furnace (which is in working condition) needed to be replaced -  the age of the house was not as new as some which are on the market --  When I told them that the things they was saying were not reasonable - THEY WOULD NOT STOP ARGUING WITH ME -  Passing from Jim Estes - Then His WIFE would take over and - after I asked them to stop the conversation -THEY WOULD NOT.   Just kept on with the lying hard-sell -- Actually trying to SCAM me out of my home.

 In no reasonable way could they have thought for one moment that they were offering anywhere near a price for the home that was fair and/or reasonable.   Since they knew better than what they were trying to force - They KNEW the value of the home -- THEY WERE PLAIN AND SIMPLE TRYING TO SCAM ME.    Flim-Flam (not even artists) - 

 Scares me to think that they are loose on the neighborhoods where old people widows, etc. might be fooled by their total lack of FAIRNESS and GOOD HONEST BUSINESS PRACTICES.  

 I would have not been against their making a fair profit on the purchase/resale/renting of the home; but to try to virtually STEAL  it - and then with LYING FORCEFULNESS WHICH JIM ESTES AND HIS WIFE DISPLAYED THEMSELVES IS A SHAME AND I THINK A CRIME.

 JIM ESTES SHOULD BE STOPPED -   Evidently the entire company of HomeVestors  -  We Buy Ugly Houses Are Crooks and should be stopped immediatedly before any more people are hurt.    I WILL be reporting Jim Estes and The HomeVestors which he represents to the Better Business Bureau; and I have already talked to the BBB at length concering this SCAM problem of Jim Estes, HomeVestors.
