I have lived in my home now for 15 yrs. My mortgage was has changed companies several times over during those yrs, until it was sold out to American Home Mortgage Servicing. We began about 2 yrs ago to try and get a modification on our home. Time after time we filled out the modification packet, only to be told that it was missing information or that they never recieved the packet. It was the same story over and over. It has been a nightmare dealing with this company.
They continually told us that the faxes we sent never got there, or the information was old and had to be updated and we would have to start the entire process all over again. Then they would recommend another type of modification or another type of program they thought would help us. All we want to do is keep our home. Our interest rate is 7.25 and due to loss of income, the payments have been hard to keep up. If they would just modify the interest rate to something affordable, we could make the payments!
This home is more than just a house to us. My father was an underground copper miner for 35 yrs, and he and my mother scrimped and saved to be able to help us get this home. Both my parents have passed on now, but their last years were spent in this home. I raised my son in this home. Why can't someone help us?! I have never been so distressed and upset in my life. This home means everything to us. I finally looked up some information reguarding this mortgage company and they had approx. 1.2 million complaints against them. They have since changed their name to Homeward Residential. How convenient.
This company is impossible to deal with. They do not want you to save your home. They have a forclosure date for my home in exactly one month. Finallly, they have assigned us to a "relationship manager". The problem is we have been assigned to one before, and they could never be reached. All of our faxes, packets, everything sent by mail, have either not been recieved by the company or we "sent it to the wrong " place . 90% of our information was never recieved... however, when you are making a payment they have no problem receiving that. I hate this company. We are almost out of time. Someone please help us.
