When you open a legitimate business you advertise in the community, you obtain inspections, you make sure you have all of your permits like all the other successful bars and restaurants. If you have unclean conditions and are dishonest the town you are in does not want you. In this case you can cleary see the town does not want these no good people. You should see how many bad things are on the internet about these people. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!! Yahoo search and internet search these people. You could actually read for days! They have had more unsavory press about ripping off the world than anyone I can think of! WOW!!!!!!

Chester Township's outgoing fiscal officer has more to worry about than just looking for another job. Township Trustees rushed to Geauga County Common Pleas Court last week to stop the opening of a new business at a building owned by Karen M.N. and James B. Austin, citing numerous building code violations. Mrs. Austin served as the township's fiscal officer for two terms before being defeated by Michael Stark in last November's election.
Responding to the trustees' complaint, Judge Forrest W. Burt issued a temporary restraining order the same day until proper permits are obtained. The suit, filed Feb. 15, sought the restraining order and a preliminary injunction against the Austins and Sandra Kanieski, a tenant, who were planning to open the Honky Tonk Saloon, at 8737 Mayfield Road (Route 322).
Mrs. Austin did not respond to a call for comment. Trustee Judy Caputo said she could not comment on pending litigation. According to the suit, the new bar and restaurant had planned an grand opening party on Feb. 17 and 18, bringing in Nashville recording artist Maccasin Creek to play. According to the suit, the township's assistant fire chief and state fire inspector, Karen Moleterno, and Geauga County's chief electrical inspector, Larry Heiden, visited and inspected the location Feb. 13. "Several observations were made, constituting concerns for public safety," the suit says.
"Extension cords were seen in place of permanent wiring extended behind walls; open junction boxes, electrical panels and electrical boxes were observed; exposed, spliced wiring was observed with water leaking on the wiring; wires were observed extending through standing water; water was observed dripping from the ceiling; fire extinguishers were not properly placed; emergency exits were impeded and not properly illuminated; gasoline-powered watercrafts were observed in the basement of the premises near combustible materials and unsecured high-pressure cylinders; structural alterations to an interior wall was observed, in which a portion of an existing interior wall was removed," the suit says. The suit contends that alterations made to the building were not done by licensed contractors.
"Additionally, applications for necessary zoning permits have not been submitted; building, electrical and occupancy permits have not been obtained; and a structural engineer's report has not been submitted to the county building department, as required," the suit says. Because the business planned to open in two days, a court order was necessary to prevent a "great concern to public safety," it says. It asked for the restraining order and preliminary injunction until necessary permits are obtained and inspections are completed.
Mr. Burt wrote in his order issued about three hours after the filing that trustees had "sufficiently enumerated public safety concerns and the likelihood of irreparable harm." He said, "The premises located at 8737 Mayfield Road, Chester Township, Geauga County, Ohio, known as the Honky Tonk Saloon, also known as the Martini Farm, shall not open to the public for business until such time as all necessary permits, including, but not limited to building, electrical and occupancy have been obtained and are clearly posted and all necessary inspections have been completed."
