Hope Now Modifications Duped by Hope Now Modifications, Cherry Hill New Jersey

I contacted Hope Now Modifications, LLC in December 2008, to assist me with a loan modification. The representative really sold me, sending me a package stating they were going to negotiate on my behalf to lower my current interest rate, lower my monthly payment, renegotiate my mortgage terms on my behalf, defer all past due amounts to the back of the loan (but I was not past due), and the Klinker to reduce the principal balance of my current loan if it were causing negative equity. Well, I mailed them $1,500.00 in January 2009 along with all the documents they requested and signed their working agreement.

I really needed a lower payment I was and am struggling. Their representative told me to stop paying my mortgage and catch up on my other delinquent bills. Good idea!! Turned out not to be. In January I started getting collection calls from my lender. Hope Now Modification informed to not to provide them information as it would make it more difficult for them to negotiate on my behalf, but to send them a copy of any correspondence I received from my lender.

I was promised by Hope Now Modifications that I would receive weekly status updates. I only received one call initiated by them, and a return call that I initiated. So the weekly status calls did not occur because "we are so busy, but your calls have been logged and forwarded to your negotiator." When I received the accelerated notice from the lender, I faxed it to them. A reply came that it was received but don't worry.

In March their telephone number changed, and the name of the company changed to HNSN Corporation and the website was temporarily down. I was frantic and started panicking. These folks were not answering their phones, you couldn't get through to any of their options. Lo and behold I received a foreclosure notice.

I feel bamboozled, seriously taken advantage of because I wasn't behind in my payments or delinquent, but because I believed they said what they would do I'm in foreclosure and I don't see away out.

This is just incredible, the money I gave to them, and now I'm facing a trustee sale date. Unbelievable!!!!!
