I bought a car from this location (but NOT from Hot Ride Motors) about eight years ago and at that time the place was owned by a guy named 'Jim' and there was only one salesman by the name of 'Bill. As I am now in the market for another used car and had a good experience with both 'Jim' and 'Bill' who were once at this location I naturally stopped into our neighborhood used car dealership located at 3552 Kensington Ave.

I immediately noticed that the name had been changed to Hot Ride Motors and inquired if 'Jim' still owned the place and was 'assured' that he did but that he was semi-retired and only stopped in from time to time. I was shown a few cars on the lot but nothing really caught my eye so to speak but a red flag did sort of go up once the salesman learned I had no cash with me that day and said to me "What you come out shopping for a car with no money in your pocket. Do you do that when you go out looking to buy a pair of shoes?"

I assured the salesman that I did in fact have cash available but just not with me as I was just passing by on my way home from dropping my son off to his soccer practice It was then 'suggested' to me that I come back with no less than $500 in cash the following Thursday (this was a Saturday) as there would be several more cars coming in that day from the auction.

The gods must have been looking out for me as just two days later in the local WaWa who do I run into but 'Bill" who once worked for 'Jim' at the dealership and when I inquired further was told that Yes, 'Jim' does still own the place but that he is completely out of the business and 'rents' the place now to Hot Ride Motors.

So then I got to thinking after everything Bill told me about the new Hot RIde Motors but being one not to jump to any hasty conclusions and always wanting to give everyone the benefit of the doubt began thinking to myself that really technically, I wasn't lied to (except for the part of being told that Jim was now semi-retired from selling cars) but he does in fact still own the place and I guess still does drop in from time to time to collect the rent!

So what I did then was go home and googled Hot Ride Motors where I began reading the many complaints about these guys and in the spirit of Thanksgiving have this year to thank all of you who more likely than not saved me from being ripped off from these guys at Hot Rides so to all of you who took the time to 'educate' and warn all of us, I Thank you as to be sure I will find what I'm looking for but it won't come from Hot Ride Motors!
