HOTELS.COM Ripoff Cancellation Policy Internet
I used HOTELS.COM to reserve a room as follows:
I reserved a room at the Holiday Inn in Bowling Green, KY for the 3rd to 5th of May. I booked this reservation in the afternoon of 1 May. My plans changed at the last minute, so I tried to cancel my reservation on the morning of 2 May. Hotels.com charged me one day $97.00 as a penalty for cancelling. The agent told me that when I placed the reservation I was already in the penalty time so regardless I would have been charged a $97.00 penalty if I cancelled.
DO NOT USE HOTELS.COM, CALL THE HOTEL DIRECTLY. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. THEY ARE A RIPOFF.
Holiday Inn should not allow them to make reservations for their hotels. I question whether I will make a reservation at a Holiday either.
