Household Bank/Bestbuy ripoff. Advertised offer 25.00 Bestbuy Giftcard upon bankcard approval and first payment made both Household Bank and Bestbuy refuse to honor or responsed to my requests they ripped me off Woodbury, Minesota

In August 2004 I applied for a Household Band Mastercard via BestBuy Store, Woodbury, MN with BestBuy personal and the BestBuy and Household Bank Joint Credit card Offer of a $25.00 Gift Card upon acceptants.
I have paid all my monthly payments and even electronic payments after I have used the card and have not received the stupid Gift card. the principal Is the fact, I have e-mailed both Bestbuy and Household Bank many times without a single response to get me the Gift Card, I have Called both Bestbuy and Household Bank and received the total run around, Bestbuy call Household, Household call bestbuy or the card is in the mail..
Just give me the Card you Offered. if the card was never offered i would not say a thing, But you did, i want. i they refused. I have stopped my weekly BestBuy DVD release buys every Tuesday and refused to Buy any of this christmas gifts from them for their failures/lies/mis-offeres they made just to help sale a laptop. was it worth it, how many other people have they ripped off the same and nobody has voiced it.

Hello Randy- Wow, your story sounds very familiar. With one exception. I did eventually get my $25 Gift Card after about 3 months. Here's what happened to me...
Went into Best Buy early August. Applied for and received Best Buy credit card. Was told by Best Buy employee that I would receive a free $25 Gift card if I applied for a Mastercard. I thought, what the heck, and applied.
About a week or two later, I received a Household Bank Mastercard in the mail. A letter enclosed stated that I would receive my Gift Card after I had made my first payment on time. Not exactly what I was told at Best Buy when I applied for the MC, but OK...
Made my first payment in the first week of September. No Gift Card in September. Made my second payment first week in October, and a third payment last week in October. Still no Gift Card.
E-mailed customercare@householdbank.com on 10/25. Asked why I hadn't received my Gift Card after making three payments. Gift Card was supposed to have been sent after first on time payment. They answered:
We understand your concern regarding your gift card.
Our records indicate that your Best Buy Gift Card was mailed on 10/2/2004.
Please allow one to two billing cycles to receive it.
You are important to us and we appreciate your business.

I think they are in Illinois (not sure). I am in Ohio. If it was mailed on 10/02, there is some kind of serious problem if it hasn't arrived at my house by 10/25! Even if they were in a state further away, it still shouldn't take that long.
Needless to say, I finally received the Gift Card first week of November.
This seems typical of Household Bank. Sneaky, giving people the runaround, feeding them half truths. Have you seen some of the reports on this website about them? Terrible! I am paying off my Household Bank MC and canceling it. If you haven't already, try
customercare@householdbank.com. I saw you said you'd tried e-mailing them about this matter, but hadn't received a response. Wasn't sure if you'd tried that e-mail address, so I thought I'd let you know. Good luck!
