household finance corporation III , hfc has a lien on our home . a tenant took out loan for $10,392.57 in 2010. Heather B. Groetecke borrowed this money in 2010 and her & her husband rented/contract for deed for our house in August 2011. They lived there for amost 2 & 1/2 years then moved out of our house without paying rent, home owners ins, in our name, and real estate taxes for 2012 & 2013 .plus they did not pay the sewer bill for 2013 and we as landlords had to pay in full all of this. We spend over 30K to repair the damages done to house due to the Groeteckes plus replace all stolen appliances, and paid over $4500.00 in lawyer fees. We finally repaired the house by taking out a loan thru the bank and listed the house with a broker and it was sold June 12,2014 However, somehow FHC has put a lien on our house and the title company has to hold our money from sale of house until FHC releases their lien in which nothing regarding the house in IL was in their names. We want this lien gone so we can get our money that is due us and have them go after Heather Groetecke not us!  Granite City Ilinois 62040

 As a landload in Granite City, IL I rented under contract for deed a home at 3004 century dr. granite city il 62040. to don & heather groetecke on august 1st 2011. Nothing was in their name except utilities in which they didn't pay the sewer bill for all of 2013, and they moved out of home the end of december 2013.  As the landlord I had to pay the back sewer bills. the real estate taxes for 2012 & 2013.  After we had to refinance our home in AZ to repair all the damages done to our house over 35K and to replace stolen appliances as well, they took everything.

My complaint is that after repairing the house in IL we listed with a broker and the house was sold on 6-12-2014 however, somehow HFC put a lien on our sold house and the title company is holding $15,588.86 of our money all due to a loan made by Heather Groetecke in 2010.  We want to know why the lien is on us, when the loan was made by Mrs. Groetecke.  And we believe that HFC should go after them not a disabled retired US Navy Veteran that had nothing to do with the loan.

Heather Groetecke and Donald Groetecke own an apartment complex at 2447 E 24th St in Granite City IL 62040 and also own a roofing company.  These people are freeloaders and should pay their own loan. Not us,  We have spend over $4500.00 on lawyers and still can not get this lien taken care of or our money released to us.
