Jim Stevens, founder and president of Houston Refinery www.HoustonRefinery.com has fooled me into giving him and his non-existing company 15 staters (scrap aircraft alloy) each stater containing 3 onces of gold. He told me that he would pay me $950.00 USD per once of gold on each stater (total of 45 onces of gold) he seemed like a good person and someone I could trust. He told me that his company was established in 1978 and that he is not like other companies who say they will pay a high price and then give you a low price once they have the material in their possession, he assured me that would not happen with Houston Refinery. He also said that Houston Refinery has a fast turn-around of 21 days.

The very next day I shipped my material to Houston Refinery. 21 days later I called back to Houston Refinery and spoke to Jim Stevens again. I told him that I have not received a check in the mail yet. Jim said I just sent out your check today, you should have it in your mail box within 2-3 days.

3 days later there is no check. I called back to Houston Refinery and got no answer, I called back every 2 hours and still got no answer. 2 weeks went by and still no check in my mail box and no one is answering the phone at Houston Refinery. By now I have left countless of e-mails and voice messages and still no answer. No one has returnd my calls! So I figure I will try callig back, but this time from a differnet phone number other then my own. FINALLY someone answerd!!! I ask the lady who aswered the phone if I could talk to Jim Stevens. She ask me what was the reason I wanted to speak to him. I said about the 15 staters I shiped to him over a month ago and I never received payment. She then put me on a very log hold and came back and said Mr. Stevens is not in today he will be back tomorrow I will leave him a message with your contact info and he will call you back. I told her I have been calling Houston Refinery for the past 2 weeks and no one has returned my calls I also told her it seemed very suspicious that te only time se asnswerd is when I called from a different number. She then said in a very angry tone There is nothing I can do for you at this time you will have to speak to Mr. Stevens about this matter, give me you contact info and I will have him call you tomorrow.

I waited the next day and still no one called me. I got fed up and sent over an e-mail to Houston Refinery saying that if I didnt get a call back from Mr. Jim Stevens in 48 hours I would be contacting the police. well about 3 hours later Houston Refinery e-mailed me back saying that they are sorry for the delay and that the check got lost in the mail and was sent back to them, and if I could e-mail them my contact info along with my correct mailing address and they will send that check back out ASAP.

So I did what they ask, and 4 days later a letter was in my mail box from Houston Refinery. Finally its all over I said to myself, but when I opened the envelope and looked and the amount on th check I was in shock! The amount to be paid was $14,250.00 USD this was not the amount Jim Stevens quoted me. The amount he quoted me over a mouth ago was $42,750.00 USD

Jim Stevens at Houston Refinery is a scammer he did what he said he would not do! He did take advantage of me. Instead of him paying me for 45 onces of gold he paid me for 15 onces of gold. I sill have been trying to contact this company but they will not answer my calls. It has been a total of 3 monts now and still no word back.

So scrap metal sellers beware of jim Stevens & Houston Refinery they will scam you. I even Looked up this company and it does not exist Houston Refinery www.HoustonRefinery.com is a fake.
