Howard Helfant is not to be trusted.
I attended his 'kick-off" party in Boca Raton for Howie's Hot Shot which was a complete joke. Being in the liquor business for over 25 years, I attended this party to see what the buzz about Howie's Hot Shot was all about. I introduced myself to Howie and he could care less about who was there and what I could have done to help out his company. So after I was insulted, I decided to do some research about this man.
It turns out that Howard Helfant was a convicted felon and spent several months in jail. Howard Helfant was selling illegal drugs on the internet thru a company called EVA Global. He was convicted and served time.
I then found out that he was an investor in Silver Dagger Vodka which was ripping off customers and vendors. Another scam by Howard Helfant.
Howard Helfant has a track record of racking up personal debt and not paying it off while engaging in complete scams and phony business. Hot Shot Beverage is the latest fake venture. The beverage is just a repackaged bloody mary mix out of Texas.
Do not trust this man or buy his Hot Shot Beverage. He is a complete fraud and liar and I would advise anyone not to do business with this man.

I hear in the bar business in Boca, that people have paid Howard Helfant and Howie's Hot Shot for orders and he has kept the money and no delivered. This is a dispicable act and Howies HOt shot should be shut done. This mix is horrible anyway and I can't believe anyone from Southern Wine and Spirits or Goldcoast or any bar for the matter would even think about buying this junk. Howard Helfant is a jerk and will never succeed.

Oh Howard, how do you do it? How do you keep such a low profile for such a high profile crook. Do not do business with this man. He will steal all of your money and scam your company. Your hot shot sauce is crap and no business in South Florida, let alone the rest of the country should have anything to do with you. Have a nice day....hopefully jobless.

Among the 63 people and entities sued by the SEC was Todd M. Nejaime, 34, identified as a broker from Plantation. Nejaime, who was also indicted on charges of racketeering, securities fraud and money laundering, was arrested by the FBI in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday, the agency said. Four other suspects in the massive indictments -- Salvatore Anthony Tavolacci, 28, and Paul L. Burton, 38, of Fort Lauderdale; Steven J. Dapuzzo, 30, of Delray Beach, and Howard S. Helfant, whose age and address were not released -- were arrested in South Florida, the FBI said. Another suspect from Palm Beach County was still at large late Wednesday. According to securities regulators, Nejaime was one of more than a dozen brokers who accepted bribes in 1995 and 1996 to promote the stocks of Spaceflex Amusement Centers International Ltd. Inc. in Great Neck, N.Y.; Reclaim Inc. in Tampa; Beachport Entertainment Group Inc. in Los Angeles; and International Nursing Services Inc. in Denver.

I decided to take the plunge and order a bottle of this stuff. It tasted like crap so I sent it back. 6 weeks later I have yet to have a refund posted to my credit card! Now I find out here that Howard Helfant is an ex convict. Live and learn!

I am a promo model and worked the opening of Howie's Hot Shot in Boca. Mr. Helfant was hitting on me with his wife right there. I can see why Mr. Helfant can't be trusted. What a loser!!!!!
