In April 2012 we saw an advertising in craiglist for a rent to own the owner was David Kinas. Kinas explain that we only needed $2,500 to move in. While we were trying to get the money he was very interested and kind person wanting to help us. On the day of signing he took $3,800 of down payment before signing. He trap me in to signing papers that I did not understood. I ask questions and he would change the subject or respond saying (Dont worry I' ll take care of you) The contract was not completed because my spouse needed to sign and also we needed $600 more to get the keys. He was refusing to give copies of the contract he said we could have them when the contract was completed, I said I need them now so he did had to give me copies. After we review the contract the terms were so different from what he had told us. So I call him..no answerd, next day he calls back and ask "Did you miss me ? You want to meet somewhere? I dont want to see your spouse I want to see you" This was a very disrespecful way to talk to a client. Also he would not answerd questions anymore his answerd was "go to the office and your questions would be answerd there". So we decided not to complete the contract and ask for our deposit back. He denied our money saying he spent time with us and that he had pay his employers with it and that we would had to wait until the property got sold. The property got sold and its being five months later and still no deposit back. This David Kinas is an evil person doing fraud in any opportunity he has to anyone he can. We work so hard to save a download payment for a home for our children and this man just takes it away. He has no heart and evil mind.

Response to Charges Against 881Home

AUTHOR: luis - ()

POSTED: Friday, January 17, 2014

“I met with David and his team almost two years ago when we were hoping to purchase a home on a rent to own basis.  Unfortunately, due to cut backs at my job that dropped our income, I was unable to close on the property.  I stopped in the office of DNT and met with David and let him know that I could no longer make payments on the contract.

Instead of crying wolf on some anonymous website posting, I remained good friends with David and his team/family.  Late last year I was able to find a car thru David. They applied my prior house credits I had earned with him to the down payment on the car.

Bear in mind that I work two jobs, sometimes over 75 hours a week, just to make it.  The funds that we paid him were not easily earned……..give people the trust and respect and hope that by doing so, it will come back to you. ”

Although this is an anonomous post, we have records that match a customer named Diana M.  She came to us in May, 2012 wanting to start a rent 2 own on a NW home on the market.  Despite her challenged credit situation, we signed the normal contracts at our offices and during which time she was speaking to her husband on her cellphone, making sure he approved everything.

About a week went by when she called us back stating they decided to purchase another mobile home.  We made it clear that the contracts were designed for serious people wanting to purchase, i.e. non-refundable since we pulled it from the market.  She made it very clear that she would do "anything possible" to make the business suffer- from what essentially was their mistake.

It took us over a month to re-market the home and find another buyer.  As such, we prepared and mailed her a check for $2,800 on June 4th (taking off $1k as it was about 1/2 our costs).  They turned that offer down and have since hired an attorney.

Any addition inquires or questions can be directed to our home office at 1310 N. Alvernon Way, Tucson, AZ 85712.   520-881-4855
