I was looking for a vehicle report. I googled carfax and a link to this company came up offering a report for $1. I filled out all required info and gave them my cc # to process the payment of $1.00. Their system downloaded a report that I could not access for unkown reason. On the report page it idicated I paid $19.95. I then looked at all the fine print which states: "After you purchase your report for $1.00, you have the option to purchase our volume discount package for $199.50 details below". It seems they took it upon themselves to make this choice for me. I checked my cc and they had initiated the $19.95 payment. I called customer service for a refund. They say they are processing it and gave me a confirmation number. I called my cc company to dispute any further charges but will have to wait untill the payment posts (another lenghty loss of my time).
Bottom line: deception to enter people into a $199.50 program and no report for the $1.00 "the human race"

How about alignments?

How can anyone even think of installing new tires without the capability of performing an alignment? I don't know about your club but the one's around here don't do alignments. I got burned a set of tires because of the lack of an alignment. If I bring my car in and you see the tires are worn unevenly and you can't do an alignment you should then stop, noticy the customer and do not proceed with the new tires at that time. I just can't believe they install tires this way.
