This is a 2 part issue: My roomate and I both purchased cars from Hubler in mid April, 2013. My financing went through just fine however the roomate had quite a few hickups to it, several return trips to the dealer, just issue after issue(this will be a separate report) Now begins the real problem, not even a week after us buying the cars we BOTH start having mechanical issues. My car was a 2011 HHR with only 45k miles on it. Have the car fax and maint. reports. I take it to the shop the 1st time complaining of engine troubles and clicking in the passengers front wheel area...they take it for a drive, 2 hrs later telling me " there's nothing wrong with the car, this is how they drive" I explain that the engine bogs down on excelleration and they say, "no, it's only a 2.2l engine, this is how they are" I left, didn't want to argue. went to another dealership and test drove exact same car, didn't drive the same at all.

2 weeks later, take it back to Hubler service and copmplain that it's getting worse, the gas milage isn't good, it's bogging down more, this isn't right. Tell them how I've driven another HHR, same engine and all and it performed much different. 2 hours later, same story, "can't find anything wrong with your car, Oh and you said it was in 2 weeks ago? no record of that...???"

Not even a week later, check engine light comes on, mind you this is all in the 1st 30 days, the car is warrantied by GM and Hubler right? WRONG! Here is the kicker...Today, 5-24-13 I finally get an appointment to get it back in the shop for the 3rd time, same issue. Drop off at 8:15am with John Armitage (he was perfectly friendly by the way) He informs me that I may be charged a $95 diagnostics fee, I explained the history and that I feel I shouldn't have to pay and he said we would discuss it when I pick up the car. I'm thinking great, they are going to find the problem now and fix it for good. WRONG!. I get a call at 2:40 pm, "the stabilizer bar is loose, the fuel system is clogged and some kindo of solinoid is frozen and not opening causing all the engine malfuctions...this will cost you about $700 pluss the $95 diagnostics" I imediately explained that I shouldn't have to pay for any of this due to the history already since buying the car and that I can't passibly afford to pay for all this. John calls me back, says OK, no problem, we aren't going to charge you this time, well fix the fuel issue and come get the car.

I arrive only to find out they weren't fixing anything, they were disnmissing the $95 fee, that's all and required a signature. I read everything before signing, there is nothing about what needs to be fixed, costs, nothing, just that they checked it out. I said, "I assume I get a copy of the diagnostics, the service notes etc" am promptly told " no, you refused to pay the diagnostics fee" that stared quite an argument to which John Suddeth "service manager" became involved. He was very rude, refusing me the information I was requesting, words were exchanged back and forth, ultimately with him litterally ripping the documents out of my hands when I suggested his boss come deal with this disaster of a situation. I get pulled into "Don's" office and the battle over me getting a copy of the service records etc continued, when mentioning LEMON LAW I was promptly told to leave or they were calling the police. By all means, CALL! I went to the inside service desk requesting a Hubler manager to deal with this and was told no management was in today, REALLY?? Hubler is definately hiding something and trying to pull a fast 1 on me with what is supposed to be a "Cerified Pre-Owned" car.

I am in desparate need of this being handled, my car being fixed and not at my expense, I did what I was supposed to, they apparently did not. Not to mention this "service manager" needs to be fired, on the spot.

DO NOT BUY FROM HUBLER!

Ironically the car was totalled the day after it was in Hublers shop for repairs. The powers that be spoke in my favor I guess.

HUBLER LIES AGAIN

AUTHOR: Indianapolis - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, August 06, 2013

Hubler did NOT give me a loaner any 1 of the 6 times my car was in the shop, since march, for 4 hrs or more each time!

Neither my old roomies car NOR mine are fixed 100%. Infact my old roomies car ONLY got a new rim and a timing belt, still needs a bunch of work from previous accident.

My car absolutely doesn't run right still, INFACT, mysteriously all the problems they did find, went away on their own, according to Hubler. NOT the case. The engine STILL doesn't run right, have witnesses to prove, when the time is right!

I'm STILL waiting for the extra $50 from the referral.

NEVER got any gas from them accept what they are blowin!

This has been the most rediculouse situation. Yes, they finally did something to my car after me going to the Attorney General! But what they did to my car was supposedly work on my breaks and "relearn" the Crank Sensor (because they claim all the codes systeriouly disapeared in the computer after I took the car somewhere else for a 2nd oppinion and they found MORE wrong with the car than Hubler will admit to.)

I have absolutely nothing to gain from lying about this situation. Hubler is just trying to save face!

Just fyi, Hubler emplyee, what you said in your reply is slander!

#3 UPDATE Employee

that is one side of that story

AUTHOR: thats bs - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, August 06, 2013

As a hubler employee this customer forgot to add a couple key points, while his car was in the shop, he was given a new impala as a loaner car, his car was fixed 100% for free, and recieved free gas, and an extra $50. His car is now running in perfect order and his boyfriends car was also fixed 100% for free as well. What more could any dealership do for you?  Thats the rest of that story.

Still no resolution

AUTHOR: Indianapolis - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, June 18, 2013

Still no resolution, this is sad!. Just wanted to update you guys, Remember the roomies car I mentioned in the very begining, well it also STILL isn't fixed, they wont do anything for him after ONLY replacing a rim, still trying to say HE had the accident in the car eventhough it's been proven that they lied and didn't disclose the accident...WOW, REALLY HUBLER?

As for my car, well, still having issues with it, letting the Attorny General deal with Hubler on my behalf.

A funny thing happened since my posting, Hubler decided to give away a Chevy Cobalt through a local radio station. Probably to fix their reputation after all this. They wouldn't need to fix their reputation if they were upfront and honest about their used cars andthe problems the cars have. Not to mention their terrible customer service when faced with a situation like mine and my roomates car problems. THEY NEED TO JUST GIVE ME MY CAR AFTER FIXING IT, that might help their reputation. Seriously, have you read the complaints against Hubler besides mine? This is an ongoing problem with them apparently. DON'T BUY FROM HUBLER! (unless of course you want a ton of headache and someone else to get a free car.)

I said it before: fix my car, replace missing parts, payit off for me, hand me the title in my name and I'll be on my way Hubler.

Continued Problem with Hubler

AUTHOR: Indianapolis - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, June 05, 2013

In effort to resolve the issue, I decided to tell the dealership they can have the car, I'm done with all the problems, buy it back from finance co. and give me all my $ back, including down payment and 2 months of payments. They refused, then tried to exchange it, they tried to charge me $4k more for the new car I had delivered, this is a continuouse headache with Hubler. They lied about it being certified, wont honor warranties, service manager treated me horribly and still the problems keep adding up. 7 lagit tries on my part to settle this matter and it has just snow balled.

As of this morning, 6-5-13 Hubler Corperate had the Outlet Manager call me and tell me that they don't have to fix my car and wont fix my car unless I recant my statements on here, with the BBB, GM and the Attorney Generals office.

I have made no false statements, I have whitnesses, paperwork and voicemails to back me up. At this point just fix the car (at a shop I request), replace missing components inside the car(headrest and missing handles on passengers seat) and pay off my loan for me, hand me the title(in my name) and I will gladdly be on my way!
