Hudson Lending Group Offered a $10,000 "secured loan" with $1400 up front security deposit. When asked for company verification, they couldn't or wouldn't supply it. We stopped all transactions after visiting this site. New Brunswick New Jersey

My husband has been trying to get a debt consolidation loan through the internet. Yesterday (October 21, 2008), he received a phone call from a Derek Carson from Hudson Lending Group. 'Derek' informed him that he was approved for a $10,000 personal loan from a lender in Canada. He told my husband the interest rate would be at 6% for 48 months. He also told him it was an open loan and we could pay it back early without any penalty. Sounds great right. Well, he then told him we could get the money as early as the next business day if we wired him 6 months payments in advanced. $1407.06 to be exact. We told him we would call him back today and let him know if we could do it.

My husband arrived to work this morning and told a close co-worker about the deal. His co-worker then offered to loan him the money for the down payment as long as we paid him back the very next day when we got the money. My husband then called Hudson Lending back and told 'Derek' we would do it and we could wire the money the next day. He then called me to get all the information faxed over to us. I received only three pages to this so-called "loan agreement".

So far everything looked okay, but something told me to look into this Hudson Lending for some kind of verification or license or tax-id number, something. Well they were not listed in any phone book in New Jersey, no matches in the BBB or New Jersey Dept. of Consumer Affairs (whom I'll be writing to next), no bank ever heard of them. Then I visited a real estate web site to verify the address and it informed me that Suite 203 was empty and had been for quite some time. From there I got here and read all those horrible stories about people getting ripped off from these so-called lending groups.

These people/places need to be stopped.
