Hughes Net 4G Hughes internet service is a ripoff Nationwide

Hughes net 4G internet service advertises fast internet service with their 4G network. This is nothing more than a maketing ploy to trick you into believing that this service is the real deal for rural internet surfing. Once you have the service, you'll find that the speed drops off  to a snails pace. When you call to complain, you will get a song and dance about having to purchase more stuff to get it to work. That works in the short term but once again you could send smoke signals quicker than waiting for a connection. So what do you do, you call back and complain and are again told you need to buy more stuff. You do that and things a fine for a short period and once again the slow down monster attacks. This time when you call, you get a tech guy who runs you a series of tests you don't understand unless you're a PHD in computer sience, only to find out you have more stuff to buy. Now you're initial monthly bill has doubled and the throttle down monster strikes again. This time I sign up for the monthly tech service (which is independent) who very quiclky tells me there is nothing wrong on my end and the real problem is Hughes Net and their throttle down procedures. Then they prove it by showing the low signal coming from Hughes Net. You call them back and thats when the whole thing really get interesting. They tell you the signal comes from the source which they have no control over. For real! you put something in orbit you have no control over?  Maybe I should send the check to it instead. So you threaten to cancel and get the legal nonsence about a contract and so on. You tell them, the contract is for high speed internet service which I'm not getting so the contract isn't worth the paper its printed on. The go silent for a few minutes and then appologize adn lower your bill for you troubles. So it now cheaper for the same rotten service you always get

In any event, be very careful if you intend to purchase this service and sign a contract because what has happened to me is not unique only to me.
