The absoulte worst service I have ever experienced, having broad band accounts with Starband, ATT, Bellsouth, Cox, Road Runner, Century Tel, and more...

I have seen it all and by far hughes net is the worst service I have ever experienced.

  Poor upload service, based on compression, which often results in corrupted data. 

 Poor download service speeds, much lower than advertised or even promised.

 Intermittent, connectivity issues, up one min, down the next, and it is never their fault it is always some problem you have even if they cannot figure out what the problem is they will jump at identifying an issue they even think might be your fault, oh you have a router, then it must be your fault, oh, you have linux, oh it must be a problem with your computer, oh are there clouds in the sky, an event fairly certain in most of the world, then it must be the fault of the clouds.

Oh, you may need to pay for a service technician to come out and make sure the rented equipment we gave you still is working. 

Oh, it is the third monday of the third year, there fore it is your fault.

Never, I am so sorry, but we are at fault because we have over sold the bandwidth and have so many customers that we cannot deliver the level of service we claim in our commercials.

Never, sorry someone at our service center spilled a cup of coffee on the rack and now service is down, oh because it is never their fault always it is your fault, that is a problem with having non english speaking personal on duty and once you place your initial order you will never speak to an american again. 

These sorry individual excuses for a company should be investigated by the FCC and the FTC because they are liars and abusers.
