I switched from WildBlue Satellite Internet Service to HughesNet in 2011 with the promise that it would be faster.  I have regretted switching ever since.  By 2012, I realized it was not getting any better and called to cancel only to be persuaded into trying the NEW Gen4--it would definitely be faster.  I was paying a little over $50 by this time.  When I called to complain about its speed, I was told I needed to upgrade to Power Pro or Plus (I forget which one). I then went up to a little over $70 in 2013.  I still had extremely slow  internet speed and complained only to be told they would upgrade me again, but I was fed up so they said at no extra charge.  However, they billed me $91 until I told them to discontinue because I was not paying for another promise.  By this time my service went out and a technician came to reinstate my service.  It wasn't two weeks hardly when the modem went out and they wanted to charge me for repairing it.  That was the last straw. I no longer wanted their service and they said I had to pay for early termination of a 2 year contract ($220).  I refused and they offered half.  I got my bill and it was for $220.  I called to dispute again and I have to call back again to register my claim.  Everytime I called I can barely understand the reps and they kept me on the phone for an hour everytime.  If they were to pull my data usage it would prove I have had lousy service or no service for a year.
