 I am to my last end dealing with companies that willfully take advantage of people. This company, Hughesnet is one of the worst... you are just a captive audience and revenue stream, nothing more. It is because of this I am writing this now, and filed a complaint with the FCC. I will keep up on information and, when all the facts are finalized, the name of the lawyer we can use to sue their a**. I have had issues ranging from them cutting off data when there should be more, changing their sliding scale observation of how they cut your useage and recharge... and the one that gets me the most, data dwindling, something they know about, actually have a way to try and test for it... it is where if your modem is on and nothing is connected you can lose your allowance...it just steals it away. And not slowly. Did I mention the mid of the month, in fact a day or two surrounding the 15th, they steal data vary rapidly so you have to use your restore tokens that cost $7.50 EA..... I am an old school living in semi-remote Alaska North of Fairbanks and really rely on the service we are paying $89 a month for this really really poor and undependable service, not to mention the restore tokens we are scammed out of to the tune of another 20-30 bucks PER month. And I am not alone from the sounds of it. I have chatted on several occasions, called on several occasions, emailed several occasions and nothing that works but one thing I noticed, besides not getting called back from a customer service manager, is that the next day, maybe two after investing time in trying to get them to uphold their end of our contract, the service seems to run better and I get reasonably close to the data we pay for, for that amount of time. But then its gone. There is too much coincidence for it to continue happening so I call Shenanigans, funny name and I love saying it, but Shenanigans. They are cheating us, they know what is going on and like I said above, they do not care about us, the customers, the ones that pays their bills and affords the satellites they put up in our outer space, and receives our tax credits as well..... I wish I could deal out the corporate death penalty, but perhaps they could be charged under the RICO act.
