Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

Hurricane Express is nothing but a nest of thieves and liars including their mother. Kaedon Stienert and his wimp brother Sheldon take anywhere from $800.00 to $1600.00 off the tops of the loads and then take 25% off the backside. They will tell you that there is no fuel surcharge' When you find out there was a surcharge they tell you that is for the office help.

I was there long enough to pay off truck and when I asked about title they came up with a bullshit reason to fire me. They manufacture dummy repair bills and freight claims. Their dispatcher Stephan cuts the top off Tyson loads and they tell you they are too busy or they don't have to show the freight charges on loads. When you ask the brokers what the loads pay the brokers tell you that Hurricane Express has told them not to tell the drivers what the rate is. When you want to talk to them about it they come up with reasons they can't be there when you come thru the yard. This is one of the most crooked companies I have seen in my life.

Their mother Kathleen Steinert is just as bad. She knows what her sons are doing and won't say a thing about it. If you confront her sons about it she will get pissed.

Those people should be locked up for the next 10 years or be beaten everely.

Sheldon if you read this you know how to contact me. I can prove what I said can you prove otherwise without usising whiteout.

Crazy scheme

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

If you're really getting paid that way, you DO have the right to audit their books to make sure they're being honest with you.

I can't see this working even if the company is completely honest. The truck owner/driver is not involved in the negotiation of the rate. Thus the company can quote a low rate to get lots of business. It's still profitable for them because their share covers the relatively low and fixed expenses of running the office, etc. Out in the field, the trucker takes the loss.

Never buy or lease a truck from the trucking company you're going to work for. It's not a true owner operator situation then. Why would they need your credit to pay for their trucks? It makes absolutely no sense other than a way to screw naieve people.

wrap your head around this

AUTHOR: Kitty - (U.S.A.)

no company should have the right to abuse drivers the way hurricane does they sucker you in by promises they don't keep they treat you well the first few months are so. we had so much tied into the truck we couldn't quit. WE PAID OUR TRUCK OFF AND THEN SOME.. they ripped us off and several other drivers.

were writing this to try to prevent it from happening to others. (no truckers get paid several different ways we were on percent of what the load paid.) my husband and i are honest hard working people we should be treated the way we treat others.

we worked hard for hurricane and all we got was nothing back. they didn't even own the truck we were buying from them. they had three loans out against our truck. the trucks they are sellings now they don't even own they are leased trucks.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

I thought all truckers, company or owner operator, were paid by the mile. Who in their right mind would fuel up their truck and head out cross- country without knowing how much they were going to be paid for the trip? If this company can recruit such drivers, and naturally abuse them, more power to them.

Kudos Dalton and Kitty

AUTHOR: Pamella - (U.S.A.)

This is directed to the rebuttal by Mike.. Kitty was correct you must be a company driver.. In regards to what they have stated this is the other couple mentioned in my report.. they too had their truck "STOLEN" by the Steinert Clan.. what they stated is COMPLETLY CORRECT.... Hurricane is doomed for a hard fall, with their business practices.. keep up the good work drivers.. Kitty you know how to reach us..
no one at Hurricane will respond because they know we are all correct.. and they have read these.. a driver was hired but.... after reading the ripoff report... told them he read it ... and no thanks..

there is no agreement on the rate

AUTHOR: Kitty - (U.S.A.)

there is no agreement on the rate they don't tell you what the load pays. forced dispatch then they tell you a fictitious amount when you get half way across country. as a owner operator your entitled to know what the rate is. you must be a company driver.

Why is it any of your business what the shippers pay?

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

You've agreed to haul the load for a certain rate. As long as the company pays you as agreed, what does it matter how much profit they make?
