I purchased a PCU-3 from Hydrogen Fuel Systems and It was defective.  I sent it back and it took them just under month to repair it and several email inquiries were ignored.  Then I was told I had to pay the shipping back after the repair.  When the unit arrived it still did not work.  At that point I wanted a refund and no longer wanted to keep using their products.

Bill Corless refused to refund the purchase price and only offered to send me yet another unit.  After quite a few email exchanges he finally agreed to issue a refund providing I send the defective unit back.  So it was sent back and at this point I was out almost $50 just in shipping costs.

Priority mail tracking showed it was delivered on Sat July 30th.  By Tues I had not heard anything from Bill.  After emailing him yet again he replied and tried to tell me that he had to deduct 17% for Ebay and PayPal fees.  I did not purchase his product off Ebay and PayPal only charges 2.9% to the sellers.

Then after calling him out on that attempted deception he then wanted to charge me the 2.9% PayPal fee.  I insisted that after all I had been through that I wanted a full refund.

Then he completely backed out of his agreement claiming I had damaged the unit and would not issue a refund at all.  Only to send yet another unit to me.

At this time I do not have a functioning PCU-3 unit or the money I sent him to buy it.   I have saved all of our email exchanges to document this situation.

Failed to Resolve issue

AUTHOR: Bill Corless - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 15, 2012

I am the owner of Hydrogen Fuel Systems, the company listed in this complaint. I made an effort to resolve this situation with the buyer, but he refused to accept our offer. He filed complaints with the better business bureau, (BBB) and with the state of Hawaii office of consumer protection (OCP). Both the BBB and the OCP ruled in our favor because the buyer refused our offer.

We stated that our policy is not to refund customers their purchase. Although I was willing to make an exception, after he sent the item back it was discovered that he had actually drilled holes into the box, and it was not resalable. I offered to send a new item to replace it, but he refused. We offer a one year warranty that if there are any problems with the equipment we will fix it for free, but the customer is required to cover the cost of shipping. The customer refused to cooperate with the solutions we provided, and that is the reason there was no resolution.

No surprise.

I hope you get your money refunded to you.

I'm not surprised at the difficulty you're having with them.  They are selling products to "enhance" a snake oil system (HHO gas crap.)  Since they are in the business of supporting this HHO gas tripe for gasoline vehicles, it's not surprising to me that they are not responding to your requests.

I hope you get your money and I hope that you don't waste any more of your hard earned cash in pursuit of this snake oil nonsense.  A gasoline powered auto/truck is a closed system.  This HHO crap is akin to a perpetual motion machine-it's not gonna save you a dime.  Further, I don't think you should expect honest and ethical behavior from ANYONE who attempts to profit from this snake oil.

I can understand that you've probably made a considerable investment in an HHO system for one or more of your vehicles and you're eager to somehow make it work, but please don't toss any more good money after bad-it's snake oil, nothing more.  It IS about high school physics and the laws of conservation of energy.

Good luck.  I mean it.

Escalating to harrassment

AUTHOR: Brent - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, August 12, 2011

Bill Corless of Hydrogen Fuel Systems is now trying to bill me for fraudulent services never performed or sent to me.  This matter has been sent to the State of Hawaii Office of the Attorney general for investigation.  Bill Corless to date has not responded to  and of the consumer complaints that I have posted and submitted his PCU-3 PWM unit.

If anyone else has had any dealings with hydrogen fuel systems or any of his products please comment here.  You may still be able to file a complaint and I can provide you with the link to the online form.

Beside the point.

AUTHOR: Brent - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 03, 2011

The science of HHO systems is beside the point here.  This is not a physics debate forum.  I purchased a Pulse Width Modulator (PWM) which regulates the amount of amperage load  a device can draw.  They have many industrial applications including DC motor speed control and electroplating and electrolysis applications.  Why I bought it is not up for debate.  And you need to read up on the subject because your above statement reflects that you are confusing the technologies.

HHO snake oil.

AUTHOR: Robert - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 03, 2011

Why did you ever purchase this HHO snake oil?

The HHO schemes on the market are just that-schemes.  If these things were to actually work, it would be akin to a perpetual motion machine.

Here's a hint for you in the future, the laws of conservation of energy.  In a closed system (such as an auto) energy is neither created nor destroyed-it is only converted.
