If you are considering signing for an account with iaai to bid on cars I bet you'll think twice after i tell you what kind of scmucks they are. The insurance Auto Actions is in no way  a business to trust or seek support when you need it. They are not gonna help you with anything. All they care is your money and they are known to be very greedy and unscrupulous with various dishonest tactics and schemes to get you to pay money, and a lot of it.

I made the mistake of becoming a iaai member almost a year ago. And to this day I regret it. I should've sticked with Copart. Copart are far better and have good customer service and can actually help if you ask for it. Not iaai. The schmucks working for iaai don't give a rat's a*s about you or your problems.

First off, if you bid on a car and win it, prepare to pay between 50 and 100% more on top of the winning bid and all kinds of stupid fees. Unlike Copart you will pay tax after all the fees are added. At Copart you only pay tax on the bid amount. The buyer fees at iaai is a lot higher than Copart, so even if you iniatially thought you got a deal on a car you just won after you receive the invoice your smile will immediately disappear. The fees added on top of the winning bid are OUTRAGEOUS.

Then there is the storage fee scheme. Copart will charge you only $20 a day not including the weekends or holiday. The fraudsters at iaai will charge you almost $30/day weekends included. Why? Cause they are greedy bastards. Remember I said they don't care about you? They attempt to squeeze as much money as they can out of you. This company is a RIP-OFF.

Oh, I forgot. If you bid on ca ar online you'll pay up to $70 extra. They fancily call it "internet bidding fee". I don't get it. Are they losing any money or does this rase the cost of operation if you bid online? Of course not! It's a way to get you to pay more money. Again iaai knows how to trick you into opening your wallet and paying them more and more every time you don't pay attention.

I have yet to get a deal on a car. None of the cars I bought at iaai so far were worth the money after I paid through my nose with all the fees added.

I could put up with their inflated buyer's fee but why charge me almost $30 a day for storage and for all the weekend days? Wasn't one day enough? Copart never did that to me. They never charged me for weekends. Yeah, try talk to them. Even the manager at the Tukwila location didn't give a damm when i complained about such injustice.

Nahh, I am sick and tired of these idiots who don't care. I made a promise to the smart-ars lady manager at the Tukwila iaa that I will not renew my account and will not pay the $200 annual fee. I can do better things with that money.

I advise anyone to stay away from iaai Insurance Auto Auctions. If you really feel the need to buy a car at an auction you will be better off getting it through Copart. Copart are just as much a bunch of sorry-arsses big money operation but they are not as greedy and unethical. In other words if you want to know what it's like to be ripped of and kicked in the stomach mess with iaai. Trust me. Save your money and don't lose your mind after some junk that you could easily find on craigslist for a lot less money. And with a clean title.

Copart has simialr fees

AUTHOR: Steve - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, January 11, 2021

Copart has similar fees.  If I were to win a vehicle with an $8,000 bid today I would have to pay an addition $775 in buying fees and then another $119 for a "bidding fee."  Then there's another $59 gate fee to be paid when I pick the vehicle up.  Last time I did all of this I was also charged tax on the fees as well as the vehicle.  All of these auto auctions bend you over on the fees.
