ICON fitness Nordic Track sold us a defective elliptical Internet, Internet
We purchased an elliptical from Icon last january. the machine showed up missing parts. we had to order them. a few weeks later they showed up. we get the machine up and running and then a month or so later it dies. we schedule a tech to come out. they have no parts with them for anything. they submit a request to icon and the parts come directly to me a few week later. then we have to schedule with icon to have the tech come back. again several weeks pass by. tech comes out and machine works for about 3 months. then it won't register that we started using it. just stays on the start up screen. so through the entire procedure again. setup with icon. they call tech and have the tech call us. several weeks then the tech comes out. again no parts. he orders the parts. several weeks then the parts show up and then we have to wait again for the tech to come out. wow...wrong parts so he again orders more parts. wait again they show up....call to schedule and wait again. machine works for about 2 months. now we are down again. this is the worst made piece of equipment i have ever owned.
please for the love of god don't buy anything from icon. their customer service while nice is very ineffective. they can't do anything other then have the techs come out. the techs can't carry parts so its a delay to do anything. bottom line is we paid 1100 dollars for a machine we have not really used much from day 1 because it is such a crappy made piece of equipment. when i tried to get ICON to replace the machine as a lemon they told me i was outside of my return policy even though i purchased their platinum warranty plan and all they have to do is fix it over and over again to honor that.
