Purchased a healthrider on 9/9/04. Elevation motor failed in 2 weeks. Took Icon Fitness 2 weeks to send parts (out of stock) and repair service.

On 11/4 the belt fails to move when stepped on. 2 weeks to get parts (out of stock). Also icon failed to lube the belt in the factory which is cause of failure. They try to blame it on the store where I purchased it. Only problem is the treadmill is sealed in a box on a pallet. No way the store could lubricate it.

11/9 Called the store where I purchased the treadmill and they replaced it with the same model. Got it unpacked and suprise, surprise - no lubricant on the belt again.

11/30 new treadmill belt fails to move when stepped on. Called Icon and they are sending parts in 2 weeks (out of stock)again. However, I had the same parts they sent from the first treadmill so I called their service company to come out. They refused even though I have their service number because they did not get it electronically from Icon. Promised to call back the same day.

The next two days the service company refuses to return calls. Icon says they can do nothing.

They make a defective product, expect you to spend time diagnosing their problem and then never have the parts in stock and their authorized service company refuses to call and set an appointment.

Service update

Icon promised to have the treadmill fixed first thing Friday. The service company never called. When we called in the morning we got no where. Service company finally called at 3 pm and promised to have the technician call. Never happened.
