I checked my bank statement online and noticed a charge of $31.98 along with the web address www.idprosup.com. I did not recognize this charge, so I checked the website, and chatted with their customer service online. They told me the charge was for signing up with their company after applying for a PayDay loan. I NEVER accept "special offers" when applying for anything online. They said they cancelled my subscription, but I would not get a refund of the $31.98 charge. That charge threw me into overdraft and my bank charged me an overdraft fee. I am a little more than upset about this!

Below is a chat transcript from when I talked to them. If there is anyone that knows what to do about this, please let me know.

Chat Transcript:

Support: Hello, how may I help you today?

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX@yahoo.com: i was charged 31.98 and i have absolutely no recollection of

signing up for whatever this is

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX@yahoo.com: it's put me into overdraft and i've been charged a fee for it

Please wait while I transfer the chat to 'Apollo'.

You are now chatting with 'Apollo'

Apollo: May I have your first and last name please?

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX@yahoo.com: Audra Knatcal

Apollo: Could you please verify the last four digits of your social number?

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX@yahoo.com: 0661

Apollo: We received an application under your info for Identity theft insurance protection,

when you were applying for a pay day loan you were denied and brought to our application page

where you were offered 3 products under 1 application and one of those products was Identity

theft insurance which covers you financially for ID theft for up to $20,000. The insurance

plan does cost you $31.98 per month

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX@yahoo.com: well, i always select no on special offers, so if that one was

checked or something, i didn't realize it, or maybe it signed me up when i closed the window,

but no, i did NOT want to sign up for anything

Apollo: I have cancelled the service for you. An automated confirmation will be emailed to

the registered email address. This will stop further billing.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX@yahoo.com: okay, but what about the current charge?

Apollo: I am sorry but the service is a non-refundable fee, cancellation does not reverse the

charge, cancellation only stops the monthly charge. You will still be able to use the service

for the time you paid, cancellation does not cancel the service you paid it only stops the

further charges. If you cancelled today you still will have the service for the remaining

time of which you paid.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX@yahoo.com: wow, sounds like a criminal operation to me. thanks for your time
