The information provided in this report below is based on comments made by Eric Corl during an onsite inspection held by a third party verification company with no biases toward Idea Buyer, LLC.
Leads for Idea Buyer primary occur through referrals from patent attorneys. Once a potential customer expresses interest in their services Idea Buyer will review the product they are attempting to get on the market, and see if it's a good fit for their company. Mr. Corl explained, "we focus on high potential products that we think we can be successful with." Once Idea Buyer and the potential client decide to enter a professional relationship a contract is drawn up to express the terms of their agreement.
CUSTOMER CARE & COMPLAINT RESOLUTION – IDEA BUYER, LLC
During the onsite interview Mr. Corl was asked to describe a situation where a client was not satisfied with the level of service they received. Mr. Corl expressed that their most common complaint arises when Idea Buyer decides not to take a client/product on, "sometimes people just don't understand why we can't work with them. A lot of times we tell them to come back when their further along, more prepared, or have a different idea." In order to ensure that all customers both potential and current are satisfied Idea Buyer always points them in the direction where their product will succeed. Mr. Corl stated, "we provide customers that aren’t a fit for us to work with, a list of other resources in terms of where they can go. Point them in the right direction for resources."
When asked to comment on complaints posted on Ripoff Report's website Mr. Corl stated the following, "the complaint that we had filled on the website was actually from a patent that we had purchased. We had invested over 325,000 into that technology, and the patent seller ended up violating our agreement. We had to get into litigation." Idea Buyer won the lawsuit in question, and also was awarded damages for defamation and slander. In order to ensure future clients Idea Buyer has been in business for eight years, and has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
When asked what type of changes they have made to honor their commitment to make things right with the consumer per the request of Ripoff Report, Mr. Corl stated, "we really strive to make sure that the client is a fit for our services so we are much more exclusive in terms of who we work with."
