Advertiser beware.  Do not waste your money on Idearc Media (Verizon Superpages).  This company is as shameless and ignorant as it gets.  The customer service not only systematically ignores customer complaints, but also they offend and put you down when you are trying to make sense with them.

What they did to me is nothing short of plain sabotage and bullying.  They gave me a horrible print on my ad.  The print is all dark and text and graphics are all blurry.  The phone number and address for my business on this full page ad barely stand out against the background.  So instead of refunding my money and apologizing for this horrible artifact they call "ad" and trying to earn the customer's goodwill, they resort to scare tactics and ignoring my numerous complaints by email, postal mail and phone calls.  Six months after initiating my complaint with them, I am exhausted and tired of being pushed around from this department to that department, and this manager to that regional boss.

The carefully crafted contract that they make the advertisers sign states that: "12.  We do not guarantee that we will provide you with the proofs of your Ads. . . . . Colors, contrasts, photos, font, graphics, and other features may appear differently in the published product and no adjustments will be made for those differences."

Basically this paragraph says that we may print any quality ad and are not liable for our mistakes.  How about being honest and replacing the word "differently" with "horribly illegible".  Nice tactic Idearc!  In this company customer comes last and is treated like dirt.  They pass you around like a football and kill time until you get tired and forget about the whole thing.  In my case they did not gave me a proof and rushed to print something that is unreadable in daylight.  You need a hot lamp to see the business address let alone the graphics.  A cave painting is more legible.

As of today I am waiting for the sales rep's regional manager's boss's secretary's assistant to call me back with the latest condescending advice from her boss.  It has been a month since I talked to her and she reminded me how naive I am for trying to get my money's worth of advertising.
