I niavely filled in a form for a 'Free Trial' for a teeth whitening cream on the understanding that I was giving my card details for the shipping ONLY.
I duly read the small print which said unless I cancelled my membership within 30days, my card would be debited for the full amount and more products sent out which I thought was reasonable as that would have given me time to try the product and decide my next course of action.
However; after my card details had been taken and accepted; the total billed amount came up as $75, by which time the transaction has been completed and no cancellation is possible, on ringing the company they re iterated that there was a no cancellation policy - which contravenes 'the distant selling regulations' so I shall be looking to take this matter under legal advise (I have also cancelled my card as I have since read that this company continues to take cash once it has your details).
