Iga On April 26,2015 I visit IGA local grocery store off of E st in Chula Vista. The prices of their items are absurd.
*Consumer Comment: Unless something has changed
*General Comment: Pricing...
Example a 1lb of bacon is priced at $7.99. While Walmart sells the same brand of bacon for $3.50. Two other example Kraft cheese for $5.99 and a 59oz of simply orange prices at $4.68. I decided to visit Walmart because of the absurd prices. I purchase all the items I mention plus a loaf of bread for $12.28. I will never shop at this store again. I advise everyone to avoid this store. I pray the bureau to place a investigation on the scams. They shut this ruthless store down chula vista California
IGA grocery store boost the prices. They prefer to ripoff low income families. IGA need to investigated and shutdown for their pricing scams.

Unless something has changed Chula Vista is still in the United States and as such they are allowed to charge what ever they want for an item.
So I don't know what "bureau" is going to investigate them but if you don't like their prices then just don't shop there. If enough people agree with you then they will loose business where they will either have to decide to lower their prices or close up. That is how America works. If you don't like it then go about 10 miles south and do all of your shopping in TJ where the prices I am sure are more to your liking.
But just out of curiosity, since you obviously are a business expert and know everything about a business. In your expert opinion how much would they be allowed to charge for those 3 items before you consider them Ripping you off?

Stores price items due to their cost to the store and store overhead. A larger store can buy in bulk getting a lower per item price. Smaller stores don't get this discount. Different stores have different prices. That's economic fact not a rip off. Question for you: If you have a gas station on a corner selling gas at $2.59.9 per gallon and the station across the street is selling it's gas for $2.63.9, do you consider the second station to be ripping people off???
