Here it goes,

I friend was trying to contact me VIA CLASSMATES, so after months of toying with the idea of actually getting the membership i said screw it and bought the three month access from classmates for 15$. this was 03/10/2008, so i got into the classmates account checked my mail and wham there's my friend's e-mail address so i can write back.

I though GREAT!!

now, I don't check my account with Bank of America often because it's a joint account with my spouse and she takes care of it, plus i keep track of my canadian accounts.

so today I was looking at a charge from the local 7-11 in which i purchased gas for 39$ and they charged me 98$ (a separate issue I am now dealing with). so of course I'm a lil turned and and investigating all the charges. I found a pending charge for 29.95 from someone called IK9*PRIVACYMATTE 800-436-0817, so I ask my fiancee what they had purchased. She didn't have a clue of what it was.

so I checked back previous months and found two other charges of 19.95 from another company AP9*SHOPPINGESSENTIA-V. so I called the first Company to find out WTF... they told me that CLASSMATES sent them my information for member ship!!!

so I told them they are to give me back my money..bla bla bla and hung up, I read into the other one online and then called the bank, who then conference in a call to those people to find the account was cancelled yesterday, and the credit was already sent. the bank is aware, has all the information on the matter and I have to wait two days before I get all my money back, but I'm still getting it back, never the less, it's amazing the scams they have out these days, purchasing one thing and then getting forwarded UNKNOWINGLY to other companies for membership fees n s**t.

This just tells me that people are cowards and will squeeze every penny out of you they can.
