  I received a phone bill on July 8, 2012 via email with charges  from ILD teleservices of $454.87 . 

 I first called my phone provider to dispute these charges and was told to call ILD.

  I called ILD teleservices and was connected with an extremely rude man. I explained that these charges do not belong on my bill and I wanted to dispute them.  He told me that they were for collect calls that someone in my house accepted.

 I explained to him that the only people in my house are me and my husband and that neither one of us had excepted any collect calls . In a very RUDE manner he told me we did and that I have to pay the bill or dispute with my phone service provider. He then said he would take a % of the bill off and that was it. And he then very rudely hung up on me.  Still leaving me with a bill of $274.69 for collect calls we NEVER accepted. 

I do not know what I am supposed to do at this point .  I am unable to pay this amount .  My phone bill  is normally $8.65 a month.

On behalf of ILD, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused, and hope to resolve your  billing issue to your satisfaction.  We strive to help everyone that contacts us with an issue and resolve the problem 100% of the time.  While we are not related to your phone company, ILD processes transactions between merchants and consumers to the consumer telephone bill.  

Using ILDs Bill to Phone service, merchants, like EarthLink and NetZero can offer their customers a payment alternative to credit cards, since not everyone has credit cards or wants to use one online or over the phone for purchases. Please call us again at (800) 953-7765 so that we may look into the charges mentioned.
