ild called me and asked me if i wanted to switch to their phone service and pay .6 cents a min in-state and .7 cents a min out-of-state.

i ask if there was a monthly charge. they told me no there would be no monthly charge.

the first month i received my bill (i have kept all my phone bills for the last three months) it was incorrect.

i called ild on 6/12/02 was told i would receive a $12.73 refund on my next months bill i was still paying .13 cents a min this what i originally was paying

the next month came and i was overcharged again. i called and spoke to about 6 different reps

finally i spoke to a person named frank jones this was on 6/27 and he told me that yes i was overcharged and that i was suppose to get the .6 cents in-state and .7 out-of-state with no monthly charge.

next he told me he had changed everything to .6 cents in-state and .7 cents out-of-state and that next month i would receive a full refund of $51.56 he told me he took care of it everything

i get my bill this month Aug 2002...the price has not been corrected and there was no refund at all. now i am du another refund.

originally i was paying .13 cents a min now ild is charging me .17 cents a min.

i start calling again. i ask to speak to frank jones i was told he is at break and will be back in about 20 min. i tell them i will call back

i call back this is all on 8/1/02 and speak to a dave thomas i ask to speak to frank jones and he said we do not have a frank jones that works here.

he wants me to explain my problem. i do ask who the manager in charge is he said john nova.

i told him about the .6/.7 cents a min. i told him i am sure you all tape these telemarketing calls that are made to us or anyone could say any price per min.

he said yes let me see if we have your recording. he comes back no we don't have it.

he starts being obnoxious, hateful and repugnant to me.... as if to say stop calling us... telling me it could be fall before i get my refund

he told me i was not being charged a monthly fee. but there was a charge of $16.14 added to this bill which he said is the federal universal service funding

the federal universal funding was like 4.19, 3.31, 2.90, 3.99, etc.....about every 7 days this was added on

finally, i called one more time to have the federal universal funding explained...someone told me this was governed

8/1/02 i spoke with a carlos lopec...he told me the federal funding had been taken off the 4.99, 4.19, 2.90....by this time i am almost in tears....and carlos knows it

i keep paying my bill on time every month and always have....but no one....would change from .13 cents a min to .17 cents a min and on top of that pay this enormous federal funding??????

i told carlos that i have health problems as well as my husband is disabled...and this is not only aggravating as well as frustrating for someone to keep telling you the refund will be taken off your next month's bill.

and for three months i have only seen my phone bill increase every month....please help someone this is not fair...

I too had unauthorized charges to my phone bill from a provider called UKI Communciations. ILD handles the billing for this provider plus various others. I sent an e-mail to ILD explaining that I did not authorize this provider and in addition there were phone calls charged to me that I did not make. ILD responded immediately telling me they had blocked further charges to my bill and would credit my account for all charges. Hopefully this is a done deal and I will know when I receive the next bill.
