This company has the WORST customer service!

I called on Oct. 25th because I received a letter stating a. that my credit line was increased by $100 and b. that I was being charged a $100 annual fee, although I haven't used this card since July. They promised to waive the annual fee and close the account. I received a letter stating that the account was closed and I had a $0 balance on Oct. 30th.

Today (Nov. 13), I noticed that a payment of $30 was taken from my checking account as the "scheduled payment" for the Imagine Card. When I looked at the online account, it still showed the annual fee plus a $9.95 account maintenance fee, plus my "payment" of $30. So I called their customer service and was told that they will now waive the annual fee and send me a check for my $30. When I requested that the funds would be placed back into my checking account, I was informed that they can't do that. I requested to speak to a supervisor and explained again, that I do not wish to wait for a check but would like them to put the money back in my account - since they took it without my permission. Just as I was explaining myself, I was HUNG UP ON!

I called back -going through the same arduous procedure of entering the acct. info., my SSN, my zip code, verifying name and my mother's maiden name - and was placed on hold to speak to a supervisor. This supervisor suggested that in order to get my $30 back sooner, I call my bank and fill out an affidavit to state that this was an error. I told the supervisor that I did not feel that it was my responsibility to make any more phone calls and "waste my time" when this was clearly their fault and was told that my alternative is to wait 7-14 business days to receive a check in the mail.

When I agreed to call my bank, I placed the supervisor on hold and when I switched back over - HE HAD HUNG UP (again!).

During my 3rd attempt, I asked the supervisor to transfer me to a manager (Ms. Marichi) who stated that it is not their procedure to return funds back to a checking account and that really I have no other choices. I informed this lady that it is not my policy to have to make additional phone calls or wait 7-10 days when this is clearly an error on their part. Since there was nothing she could help me with, I asked to be transfered to her manager - Mr. Dan Brown - who pretty much said the same thing. Their company does not show any concern about wrongfully deducting funds from my checking account and I have no recourse whatsoever.

He told me that if there isn't anything else I need, he doesn't want to waste my time or his!!! Finally, I asked to speak to his management (a Ms. Castro, who is supposed to be the Chief Operating Officer) and was told that she would return my call.

Although this may seem trivial (it is only $30), it goes to prove that Imagine Card must assume that the regular consumer does not notice when they are being ripped off! I am glad I check all transactions on my checking account diligently - as this may be common practice, rather than a one-time mistake.

I highly recommend that you be cautious when dealing with this company!

Imagine card services

AUTHOR: Walden M. - ()

POSTED: Saturday, March 22, 2014

Editor-

i know you do not remove postings.  However,  you have complaints listed under a title "imagine card services".   This happens to be the name of my business.   The heading is not the name of, nor reflect the purpose of the company receiving complaints on your site.   The company Imagine Mastercard, or Myimaginecard are a credit card company,  not a servicing a.k.a processing company such as mine.  Life will go on either way-  bit it's nice to know that we work hard to stay off of your site; and a minor oversight puts our literal name on there.

Is it at all possible to change the heading of these complaints to myimaginecard, or Imagine MasterCard?

i appreciate any assistance at all.  Thank you.

Matthew Walden.

I am the owner of an actual credit card processing company called Imagine Card Services at imaginecardservices.com.

I simply desire to acknowledge that this complaint is regarding and actual credit card company, Imagine MasterCard at myimaginecard.com.

The heading unfortunately reflects my company, which does not have any reports on this site.

Thank you,
