Me and a family member just "WON" this cruise a few months back, and took the cruise a few days ago. A word to the wise. Don't take this trip!I can't stress to you any more than this!It started out as; "You Won; All you have to pay is port fees and taxes and that's it."

When we paid for the trip we were then constantly called asking us to upgrade to a hotel resort stay and "free" rental car. We declined this several times and booked the cruise. Being that I live in Los Angeles I called a few weeks before we were scheduled to depart confirm departing and arrival times, and was informed that the dates had been changed. Mind you the company themselves never contacted us to inform us of this change, and was told by a very rude reservations agent that they didn't have to notify anyone, that it was our job to check in. When telling her that I live 3000 miles away and had made flight arrangements she then told me that for an additional $100.00, we could add an extra night and get the dates we already reserved.

Needless to say this enraged me, and many conversations later I changed the date of the cruise and made new flight arrangements opting to pay that fee instead of the cruise fee. This however did warn me of what was to come.

When we arrived in Florida this past week, we were told to wait for a shuttle. We waited for about an hour for a shuttle that never arrived, cause the resort doesn't have shuttle service. After contacting the resort we were told to go right to the pier to check in, and in doing so incurred yet another fee.

The first sight of the so called "Ship" was a shock to me. The water stains and rust made the "BOAT" an absolute eye sore. Once on the boat it was more of the same and even worse! There was a very strong smell of "Raw Sweage" throughout all the lower decks, and the rooms were horrible! We had one working outlet, in the room, and had to call the front desk for hot water to work in our shower. The food on the boat was sub-standard and discussing. The staff went out of there way to keep the drinks flowing, and at $7.50 to 13.00 a drink it was another way to get your money. Gambling and Bingo were available at all times (again more money) and the over prices gift shop seemed to never close.

Once docked in the Bahamas we were told that we couldn't leave the boat until we paid a gratuity fee of $10.00 per day per person as well as a $9.50 fuel charge per day per person. What happened to the port fees and taxes that we paid??? i know for a fact that there were people who refused to pay the fees and were not allowed off the boat! Outside of drinking and gambling there isn't much to do.

The pool and jacuzzi never had water in them and the spa was closed. I inquired about the condition of the boat and was told by the crew that it was 55 years old and one laughed at me stating; You thought you were getting an Escalade and got a Pinto. This was by far the WORST trip I've ever taken in all my 35 years on earth, and I feel like I was lied to and taken advantage of. Not one of the ships in the brochures that were sent to us had a picture of the raggy worn out boat we were on, and why did we have to pay for gas????
Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT TAKE THIS TRIP!!!
