My fiance are having imperial build what WAS to be ourdream home. It has turned out to be a nightmare. This builder uses inferior materials and workers are unsupervised. We have found uring in bathtubs, rotting food in corners of rooms, empty beer bottles in walls. I have taken pictures of the entire build process and all of it is put together terribly.

Crooked studs, crooked floor, crooked windows, crooked roof, leaks, damaged Hardi-plank painted over, mis-matched tiles, damage components used. Basically EVERY SINGLE system in the house has defects and they have gone to great efforts to HIDE instead of FIX them.

I have been repeatedly told that the house is not subject to my approval or inspection and that I "need to worry when we tell you to worry". The salesforce is like a bunch of used car salesman. I have had to sign documents against my will or risk losing $16,000.00 in earnest money. I am a prisoner to this sale and cannot afford to back out of the contract.

No legal action can be taken because all disputes require arbitration which adds even more expense and THEY have chosen the arbitrator. I want the house, but I want it corrected. I have no leverage and they know it. They play hardball.

These are ex KB home employees which tells you how bad the quality is. DO NOT do business withImperial Homes. They do NOT care about customer satisfaction. The house "apperantly" passes all inspections but they are in a part of the county that has MINIMAL codes so it's pretty easy to pass.

Moving on to cosmetic issues...This area is even worse. Being totally unregulated, I was told that if they choose not to do rework on areas, there is nothing I can do. They will do what they feel best addresses the problem. They have repaired tile with DIFFERENT tiles (mismatch). There are large steps in the seams of the counter tops, there is wall texture sprayed over outlets and switch covers. There are doors that don't close, warped baseboards, wiring that has been sealed up in the walls with nothing connected, and when the water runs, it shakes the whole house.

From the day they poured the foundation theyhave added mistake upon mistake and then used all their time over the last two months trying to cover it all up so it will "look" ok. I know wha is in those walls and it is TERRIBLE. www.imperialhomestexas.com is FULL OF LIES. Ther eis NO "Superior quality and Craftsmanship". They use illegals that are totally unsupervised and then cover up their mistakes.
