Imperial Majesty Cruise Line - Ramada Plaza Resort Thanks for the Warning Ft. Lauderdale Florida

Imperial Majesty Cruise Line has been offering excellent serve to their customers. As any business they can not please everyone. Some of the out-sourced marketing firms do promise a luxury cruise which the 53 year old ship sure is not.

The Regal Empress is a classic historic liner offering short budgeted cruises. For the s****.> I have to say the food is impeccable and the staff is always there even if you don't need them.


I personally have a few suggestions but I hear the ship will be out of service soon anyways.

Granted there is no cruise line out there that is perfect.

I recently recieved a letter from a local car dealership stating that my husband had one at least 3 prizes, so he went there and received a voucher from Ramada Plaza Resorts for a 7 night Florida/Caribbean Cruise, Free Companion Airfare, and our "choice" at one of several 2 night/3 day Ramada Plaza Platinum Hotels. Well, I started reading some of the small print and for the hotel "getaway" pretty much every single weekday, except for one were "non-check in dates" It was supposed to include a 3 night stay at one resort, a 2 night stay at another and 2 nights on a "luxury" cruise. It claimed either a Carnival Cruise or Imperial Majesty(I have never heard of Imperial Majesty) So, after looking all of this up, I came across all of these posts on here. I was figuring that it was some sort of rip-off, and that the "taxes & "incidental" charges" would be outrageous.

Yes, I suppose nothing in life is free, but things shouldn't be advertised as being free and that is where I feel the scam comes in. Luckily, I haven't called them or done anything. But, I also wouldn't be giving my credit card numbers out over the phone. I went on an awesome cruise/vacation 3 years ago for my honeymoon and I booked through AAA. If this trip is supposedly worth $1600 or more, I'd like to see how.

From what everyone on here is saying about dumpy hotels, rusty cruise ships and "jail cell" rooms on board, I find that hard to believe. Our honeymoon, which included airfare for both of us, 4 nights on a really nice Royal Caribbean cruise, and the weekend before and after the cruise, with car rental, only cost around $2,000. Now, this was for the best room on the ship, with a private balcony, huge walk in closet, flat screen tv, breakfast on our own balcony every morning, etc. The car was a mustang, and the hotel we stayed at was awesome, a two room suite. So before anyone gets scammed into spending all this money on some yucky vacation, check out cruise packages on reputable sites, for reputable cruise lines. I recommend expedia, or hotwire for a good deal that isn't a scam!

Well, the only "scam" that most cruise lines have are the $7 drinks that are charged to your sea pass, only you don't know at the time that they are $7. Good thing we only got one drink while on board! Good luck to all getting their money back, and hopefully you can find a real vacation, for a decent price!
