Well, my story seems to parallel many I have previously read on the ripoff report involving In Sports and one Nick Jones. I found an add for a job involving sports promotion on a career search website. I emailed In Sports and began an interview process to promote the In Sports website which at the time I believed to be a professional organization. My horror story goes as follows:

After speaking to the head of the HR dept at In Sports, (by the way, these dirt bags never give you their last names) I was given a final interview by Nick. Nick went through all the BS it sounds like he usually spits, telling me I would be a manager and had the potential for upper management. I found this strange as I have been a teacher my whole life and have no experience in the field of internet promotions. Nick then goes on to ask me for a security deposit for all of the promotional materials he is going to be sending me. In our recorded confirmation Nick asks for a deposit on nineteen twenty for the deposit which I took to be $19.20. Ok, no big deal, worst I could lose in twenty bucks. However, that nineteen twenty was one thousand nine hundred and twenty dollars! All this for the worst promotional fliers I have ever laid eyes on! I didn't find out how much the charge was until I checked my account to find a charge of way more then what I had authorized! I called my credit card company that day to refute the charge. I spoke to Nick several times since then. He kept assuring me that In Sports was a legit company and he would refund my account $500 as a show of good faith. When I saw that this man was not going to fully refund me I called my credit card company to tell them what was going on. No re-credit was given until I'd sent all the promotional garbage back, at which point Nick refunded my account $500 in an attempt to keep the rest. During one of these conversations I asked Nick to speak to other promoters to learn about their experiences. Nick became defensive and said that different people have different personalities so there would be no point in me talking to other people in the business. When I asked Nick his last name he took about three seconds to answer and then said, uh Jones. Why not just tell me Miller or Smith? Then after doing some research, I see that Nick has gone by several last names. By the way don't ask for the name of the owner of the company cause he isn't going to give it to you. Since that time I have begun filing reports with the attorney generals office in Texas, California and Utah as well as the Federal Trade Commission. I don't just want my money back; I want Nick to and In Sports to face justice for what they are doing to people. They feed off of people who have a passion for sports and they use that passion to take their money while giving them horrible promotional fliers. By the way, the website is just terrible. Why any real sports fan would choose this site for an interactive sports experience befuddles me. Very poor production and lame content in my opinion. I believe Nick to be a bad human being will on day have a rather hot and very permanent residence waiting for him in a very southern location if you get my drift. I would also encourage anyone else who has been through this experience to hire an attorney and go after this company, otherwise I believe they will continue to hurt people for their own profit.

Hi, I'm writing because I was recently a victim of the same company In Sports. a few weeks ago I filed my own report with my personal story, some suggestions, and most importantly I'm hoping 'Nick' will respond to some questions I have for him. I recovered my money, but through my bank, not Nick. I'm hoping anything you can tell me will help stop this company and Nick from doing this to other people. The link to my report is
