Ok.I checked on Friday to see of my status had been updated, and there were congratulations for me. Now the status has changed to "Email not found

We are not able to find the following email address in our database at Incentiverewardcenter.

xxxxxxxxxxxx@verizon.net

Did you sign up under a different email address?

If you feel that you may have used another address when registering, please return to our redemption page and enter the address originally used to register in order to view your current gift status.

If you do not remember the address that you originally used to register with us but have received one of our newsletters, you'll find the valid email address in the "To:" address line in that email.

If you cannot identify the email address originally used to register with us, and would like to qualify for free gifts, you can begin the process at

Has this answered your question? "

A BIG FAT NO!! I looked up my history folder and found the page that showed my voucher and email address on their site and printed out a copy. If any of you have found that your email is no longer on their database I suggest you look in your history folder and print it out again. This probably won't do anything but it is worth a try.

I have called two times today and of course no reply. Well DOJ here I go. I will update again when something else happens.

File complaint with Palm Beach County

AUTHOR: Rob - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, March 07, 2005

I just got a call from an office in Palm Beach County (it was a quick call so I don't remember which office but I'm assuming it is Consumer Affairs). They are apparently handling all of the cases now. I filed my complaint with NC AG way back and not Palm Beach, so I guess NC is forwarding all complaints to them. Based on this I would advise skipping NC and filing any complaints directly with Palm Beach.

I noticed there seem to be fewer complaints posted on this site lately, so either IRC/CIP/emarket research is starting to clean up their act or none of the latest victims have discovered this site yet. Hopefully it is because they are cleaning up their act.

Best of luck to those of you still fighting. Being persistent will not only be rewarding to yourself in the end, but it will help teach these guys a lesson. I for one, am very pleased with my new laptop and now that I finally set up my wireless network last night, can really start to reap the benefits!

I received my laptop

AUTHOR: Rob - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, February 24, 2005

For some reason my last update has not been posted so let me try again. I received my laptop on Tuesday, and I must say I am very pleased with it. It is a base Vaio model (B100B, starts at $999), but I checked the "build your notebook" tool on the Sony site and it looks like there is at least $200 of upgrades from the base model such as CD-burner, bigger harddrive and built in wirelass LAN.

I know many of you are still doubtful, as I was not too long ago. But just remain persistent and aggressive, and you should see results. I'm sure enough people have filed complaints with attorney generals and consumer affairs agencies that the heat has been turned up for these guys at this point. It would be a little too risky for them not to fulfill their gift obligations for people who have complained loudly enough.

I also want to submit a public apology to Todd on behalf of all of us former Todd-doubters (I know there were, and still are, many of you out there). But without the information he posted on this site I never would have received my laptop. I'm associated in no way with this site so my next statement is my own. But I decided to donate a small amount to this site for helping me get my laptop. I figured a small donation on top of the few bucks I already spent so far is nothing, so why not give a little back? From their reply, even the smallest amount is obviously very appreciated, so for anyone who has received their free ipod, laptop, or whatever, I think the least we can do is try to help out a little. Just my two cents. But good luck to the rest of you.

Got a tracking number

AUTHOR: Shea - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 23, 2005

I called last night both the 1-866 number where I actually spoke with a human being and called the 561 number, knowing no one would be there, and left 2 verying long descriptive messages....not sure which one worked but received an email today with a FedEx tracking number in it.....should be active later tonight as it is probably shipping from California.

We'll see what arrives when I start tracing it and how much it weighs.....in all honesty, I spent maybe $100.00 on things I actually would have bought in teh first place and to wait this long, I could care less....a laptop runs minimally $400-500 even for a refurb.

I can now set up wireless in my house and I'm happy about it :)

Will post follow up once I recieve my "gift".

Thanks ripoffreport and everyone who's been involved with getting the phone numbers out for this company..... persistence is the key....they ell you 4-5 wks, you call and say it's been 4-5 weeks and that a friend who completed their AFTER you already received their girt, what's up....that's what I did....becase someone on here did complete theirs after I had completed mine

Yes, the Vaio. Expecting it today.

AUTHOR: Rob - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 22, 2005

Shea - yes it is for the Vaio and based on the Fedex tracking it should be delivered today. From what I've been reading on these posts, it seems like some people are getting their 'free' gifts with different processing times and shipping times. I personally didn't even have to complete the voucher that other people have had problems with, and my offer status page still shows one credit missing.

I haven't read any posts that CIP/ERG/IRC is sending any fake packages so I'm assuming that the package really does contain my laptop. If that's the case, then I can only guess that they are pushing people as far as they think they can. Not only did I file a formal complaint, I began threatening them with legal action against not only them, but against their sponsors, so they may have decided to get me off their back quicker than others. If they told you 5-6 weeks and you seemed cool with that, then they might have thought they could stall you for that amount of time, possibly so they could get you with their 90-day rule.

I don't think this is a 'pure' scam, in that they will eventually send you your gift if you try hard enough. The scam lies in the fact that they try to avoid sending you the gift until they think you are capable of doing something about it and are actually planning to do something about it. The way I saw it was that I already lost all that I was going to with these guys in terms of money that I already spent, so I wouldn't lose anything more by threatening them or trying to get my credit card charges reversed, or whatever else.

I will update again if and when I receive the laptop later today. If I do get my laptop today you can always bring this up with them. FYI - I signed on with them on Jan 6, so you can compare against the time you've been waiting. I would advise you, and anyone else, to take a more aggressive position against these guys. Whether you ask them nicely or scream obscenities at them, what more have you got to lose at this point?

sony vaio laptop? I am awaiting my laptop as well.

AUTHOR: Shea - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, February 21, 2005

Is yours forthe Sony Vaio? I called around 4 wks ago and they said 5-6 weeks before delivery as the laptops were on backorder. I just wanted to see if these laptops were off "back order" and if so I want to call about my own Vaio.

I live 2 hours away from the acutal home office in Greenville, NC.

I am being patient and trusting they will be on their word. I think being calm and collected on the phone and being polite towards them with SOME understanding and things will go "smoothly".

I, however, will not be referring friends to this company. I would rather refer to my friends for a free laptop or free iipod to a couple legit companys like freeipods dot com or to ezlaptops dot com (this one isn't totally free but have to earn points and pay (via paypal) $8.95 for shipping and handling and it's a longer process at getting the laptop)

If anyone else is awaiting their sony vaio or has already gotten theirs, please email me at sheahawk2 at yahoo dot com I'd like to know what model(s) being sent out

Good luck everyone and be persistent, when they say 5-6 weeks and after 5 weeks you havent seen anything, call back and be polite even if you are ready to ring their neck out, make sure you have lept records of your voucher that has been sent (I use cutepdf and saved all voucher and information pages as PDF files to have on my computer for personal records in case something like this happens or a lawsuit comes into play

Might actually be getting my laptop! my strategy and what I've gone through..

AUTHOR: Rob - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, February 18, 2005

I'm currently tracking a Fedex package that supposedly contains my laptop, so I thought I'd provide my own update (and strategy) on what I've gone through for the past month or so...

I started off the same way as most people here - only receiving 5 out of 6 credits and getting no replies from "customer service". I took advantage of other people's experiences and information, but before filing any formal complaints, I decided to try a diplomatic approach and email Jilliane Quiroz and also notify the "sponsors" of the promotion in the hopes that they would put pressure on CIP. After a few days went by with no response, I finally decided to file a formal complaint with the NC AG's office. (I have also filed complaints against two "sponsors" since then but that is a different issue).

Two weeks passed and I didn't even get a response from the AG's office. What did happen was that my account was deleted, to which I responded with a more "aggressive" email to Jilliane. My account reappears and was followed by a suprise reply from Jillian. Of course, she tried to give me the runaround to which I replied with an even more "aggressive" email, and two hours later I (coincidentally?) receive my first reply from Customer Service telling me they couldn't find my email address in their database.

At this point I just got plain hostile with them. I told them I just checked my status online with that very email address and that they better stop f**kin around (yes, in those words) with these games before I start pulling the big guns on them. In another email to Jilliane, I threatened to contact not only the FL AG's office and Palm Beach Consumer affairs, but any news channel and media outlet that would listen and bring publicity to their scam, and any attorney who might be interested in filing a class action suit.

But I think the most effective threat was the one that I would turn their "sponsors" against them (the ones who actually pay CIP). I threatened to file complaints, not with, but against the "sponsors" (AOL, Discover, Citibank, etc.) for being involved in CIP's scam. I told Jilliane that I just didn't think their sponsors would appreciate such accusations and attacks on their reputations, and would probably stop paying CIP for their "services". If these people are smart enough to come up with a scam like this, they are definitely smart enough to know when their own profit is at risk.

So finally, I received a email yesterday with a Fedex tracking number telling me my laptop was shipped. I'm a little skeptical because my status page still shows one offer missing and I never went through the voucher process. But it turns out to be a real tracking number for a package weighing 12 lbs. (sounds right) and scheduled to be delivered on 2/22. I'm a little confused because the delivery location listed is for where my parents live in NY, which I still use as my billing address, but I'm pretty sure I gave them my own address in NJ when I first signed up, since this is what I always use as my shipping address.

Either way, I'm keeping my fingers crossed and I'll be sure to provide another update next week.

I am so happy that I found this

AUTHOR: Stuart - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, February 17, 2005

Ok, so here is what has happened so far. I completed 6 offers and emailed this "company" to find out why my status had not changed to show all offers complete. After sending a few of these inquiries to incentiverewardcenter and not having any of them replied to, I got pissed! I researched incentiverewardcenter.com on Google and found this site.

Oh JOY!!! I am so happy that I found this place because without it I would be still waiting for them to email me back. I found their contact # on one of the reports and called it. I called on 3 different occasions. I was starting to get really frustrated, because no one was calling me back. Well much to my surprise I had a status change on their site and now I have qualified for the prize. I filled out the voucher and decided to fax the voucher instead of mailing it. So I looked around this site for the fax number. Well I found one. It took several tries before my fax got through, but it did (at least it appeared to go through you can never tell with these things, d**n technology!!). I waited to hear from them and still nothing. I then found out I received a call from them when I wasn't home.

Thank GOD for caller ID. I called the number from which they called and listened to another customer service message..... Please dial 100 for an operator....Ok so I did. Voicemail. Well that seems to be par for the course. I try the call again. This time I start dialing different extensions, 101, 111, 102 and pretty soon I get a live person. This live person actually listened to what I had to say. They told me that they would have my gift sent out as soon as possible.

Well that did it....I called FedEx and found out that TheUseful.com (who was that?) had sent me a package. It should arrive on Tuesday. Now I'm dancing!!! It's hard to believe that it has only taken just over 2 months since this all started. Some of the victims here have waited so much longer than I have. Well anyway, when it arrives I will update my report. Meantime I will give you all a new number to call........

1-561-997-6484. Remember to try different extensions until you find a real live person. By the way, I called in the morning. I also kept calling the 1800 number, and sending all of those emails. So it is real hard to really say what actually worked. If I was a bettin man I would have to go with the new number.

Good luck and Happy Hounding...........
