I am writing this as one of the tenants that has lived at 1831 N New Hampshire under the supervision of Shell Bauman and BTNH LLC management. One night I heard yelling in the hallway followed by the police coming into the building an hour or so later. I ran into the tenant who was involved and spoke to them at length about the situation. Apparently the building manager. Shell Bauman had pounded on his door and was screaming accusing him of "(((REDACTED FOUL LANGUAGE)))

". The tenant was doing nothing but watching tv. Come to find out that Shell had contacted other tenants in the building about various conspiracies that Shell had fabricated about this tenant. Shell had asked if other people had heard him running around on the roof. Which our building does not have access to. Shell had asked people if they knew about smoke coming into his apartment, and also that this other tenant was stealing his internet service. What was most alarming was that Shell had sent a text message to one tenant asking him about the smoke, but then following it up about a rant about seeing tree people in costumes outside of his window. I've made plans to move out as the management was notified, but did not revoke Shell's access to our apartments as the building manager. I just do not feel safe here and so long as Shell is the manager, every tenant lives in fear of getting one of his deranged and cryptic notes left on their door. The tenant that was harassed by Shell had been threatened with an eviction from the slumlords who own the building and subsequently moved out. I do NOT recommend anyone renting here unless they like to be stalked by a deranged building manager with bi polar disorder. The owners who unlawfully evicted the tenant made no apologies and, to this day, have left Shell in the position to do more harm to the resident there.
