Indy's Top Ten Models - Lori Brooks Never pays her models!!! I have been owed $500 for over a year!!! Indianapolis Indiana

I worked for ITTM from 2006 to 2008. I did many events for Lori, and I also got paid for every one of them. I read all paperwork before signing with her, and was informed before hand that payment for events could take up to 3 months. It only took that long to receive payment one time, and that was in 2008. I worked the Wal-mart Wellness event in August, and did not receive payment until November; however I was still paid. Before this I worked for Perfect 10, with which Lori was the manager and Heather was the owner. I remember there was the same accusation for that company, and I believe it actually went to court and was in fact true. Heather hadn't paid something like 27 or more models. Again, I was paid by them. I worked with Perfect 10 on countless events and always received the agreed upon compensation.

Lori was always professional with me, and I enjoyed working for her. I only left after having my daughter. I would gladly work for her again now that I am back in the industry. I imagine I am of the fortunate models, in that this did not happen to me. I only wanted to report on here that, maybe in fact she has flaked on some; but to say no one gets paid isn't possible, because some of us did indeed.

I am sorry to hear that so many models went unpaid, and I agree that it is never acceptable to not pay someone as agreed upon for any work completed. There is no possible excuse that would justify this; for if you are running a business it is your responsibility to keep your contracts with every single employee. If your business goes under because you had too much to pay out at one time, then that is simply how it will be, and you will be forced to realize what you could have done differently, and how to fix it in the aftermath. However, flaking on payment to even a few employees should not be an option in your strategy to survive. 

Unprofessional?

Because I put Megan's last name out there if she didn't want it there is unprofessional? These people have no problem putting MY information out there!

Balances owed are between my agency and the individual. NOt them and the world but they put my information out there anyway. At least she put her name when she posted something more than I can say for the last poster.

If that person had identified themselves for getting paid, I might feel inclined to move them up the roster for a money order.

Guess we'll never know.........

Maybe I'll file reorganization - get your payments that way and required by law these posts will stop. THATS PROFESSIONAL?

Indy's Top Ten owes me money as well...for work done in August of last year. Everything that has to do with this company is very unprofessional. If you want to be a volunteer, work for this company. If you want to get paid, go elsewhere.

It is extremely unprofessional to put a person's full name online if they only wished to have their first name mentioned. What good did you think it did to put Megan's full name on here? All that was accomplished by Lori was to make her look even more unprofessional.

I may never get paid, but until I do I will never ever recommend or refer anyone to work with this company or any affiliate. Spead the word girls and guys, don't let you or your friends get schemed.

I worked a promo for her in August 2007 and to this day I have not been paid, i have emails stating that I would be paid in May 2008 and nothing, she is a liar and she doesnt pay her employees, there are many other promo models out there that she owes money too, dont work for her, she is bad!!!!!!!!!

I have been working very hard for a very long time on a personal level, to rectify the situation brought forth my agency by another legal matter of not our fault.

There are no excuses here except truths.

As owner of this agency, I make all decisions for the best of my company.
When a shark threatens to take from you what you have worked so hard for do you
(a) do whatever u have to do to save your life or
(b) worry about what the next guy thinks?
I elected
(c) save your life.........and then worry about what to do next!

I could have filed corporate bankruptcy a long time ago. Nothing is stopping me from doing it right now either............
I simply refuse to because I want to make good on those models who are still owed a balance from 2007.

To say that ITTM "never pays thier models" I'd like proof of that because I filed the corporation taxes for this business for 2007........I also filed a form 1096 for all the 1099's we sent out...........and I have the financial statements for this agency that indicate likewise!!!!!!!!

While my extreme efforts to pay everyone by May 1st - ME WORKING 55+ HOURS A WEEK TO GET IT DONE for over 4 months didn't pan out as I was promised......I was counting on the opportunity I was working to make it happen for everyone including Miss Megan who doesn't give her last name.......MEGAN DRUDY.......

ITTM will make good on EVERY MODEL owed a balance from 2007.......
All I can say is I am sorry this crap ever happened............I do not run my business this way...........OBVIOUSLY I HAVE THE TAX FILINGS TO PROVE IT.

I have something else working that will help me rectify this. Unfortunately it's not by the date I promised. I don't have any answers as for dates--when.
I want this taken care of as much or more as anyone else.........

The only thing I can do is apologize for this mess.......
and make it right.
THAT'S THE BOTTOM LINE FOR............PRINCIPAL! not bankruptcy!
