infofree.com charged me for service they did not provide San Mateo California

I had an account with Infofree.com from July - Dec @$50/month. As part of the account, you can download 2,000 contacts per month.

I decided it was time to suspend my service in December. My account very clearly stated that it renews on Dec 10th. Since I had accumulated 10,000 contacts, I began downloading them. On Dec 9th, I sent an email, per the user guidelines, that I would like to cancel my account prior to my next billing. On the 10th I notice that my account was closed, but I was still charged $50 for another month of service. No problem, I send an email to let them know everything was cancelled correctly and ask that they please refund my money. To keep a long story short, they refused to refund my money and refused to keep my account active for the additional month of service. Basically, it feels like they robbed me for a month.

I tried to be reasonable with them to come to an amicable solution. I asked them to continue my service for the remainder of the month if they were unwilling to refund my money, but again, they refused. Now I am concerned that the charges will continue without my authorization.

I would not recommend giving this company your credit card.
